Jim Gray looks visibily moved or hurt (that expression!) when he was asking Mike about his father. Jim clearly reflected within a heart-beat on what that must been like, given that his own father was the most influencial person in his life. He died over a decade a go, but now, anything remotely related to fatherhood (film, music, real-life, animal kingdom even) still produces raw feelings that I can't explain (but that until this post, i never shared).

Some of the things Mike says makes me just wanna ball up and cry. This man has been through literally everything imaginable. I love the respect as well as the common love in the air between Mike and Jim
Ya know every time I watch Mike he becomes more n more interesting of a person. I used to idolize his fighting abilities but to hear his life's story, part of it makes you say Wow! Shouts to Jim Gray for both bn interviewed and the telling respect he had for his father but also the interviewer instincts to pull some of Mike's life out of him as well. I truly think Mike is an older character from another era, he's young but have lived a life that we can only imagine.
Really? It seems like it's the other way around. I'd argue that Mike's feathers are very easily ruffled, it's the drugs or medications that make him appear to be a a finely feathered fiend or friend.
Jim Gray during this interview was amazing in the stories and depth of subject matter that came out of Mike. Much love Mike on your self growth and willingness in repairing past moments and acknowledgment of mistakes.
It's Mike's humility that gives him the access to enlightenment. Mike bares his humanity to all in complete honesty. I see it as the most authentic act of love, a living prayer to his Maker. The life of Mike Tyson is truly inspiring. The life of his heart and mind.
This is one of Jim Gray's better interviews with Mike. Pretty cool how he got Mike to open up about many things. I never knew they were friends all these years either!
Why do I feel like Jim is the only person that Mike would let dig so deep. And yet vice versa. To watch these two sit and just talk was amazing. There has to be another episode with Jim, there has to be at some point.
Jim Gray has balls. Only Jim can control a convrrsation with mike with deep deep questions like he asked...wow! Watch how he changes it up on mikes show. 41:44..." Tell em about Flip" lol
I think mike saying you never know when God will take your spouse etc... That got Jim a little bit like I don't want to think about that. I just lost my Dad I don't want to go any further with this topic. "Tell em about FLIP" ! LOL yeah SUBJECT CHANGE effective immediately.🤣😂
Born in 97 I missed Tyson in his prime, but his legend lives on. He is my idol I like his realness. Damn right DMT changed his outlook on life for the better. Love from Scotland ;)
Greg he was breathtaking in his prime mate. RUclips does it a little justice but not completely. Mike Tyson is one of the most iconic people in the history of mankind. Like Ali, like Elvis, like the Beatles. Let me give you some perspective. When Tyson was at his best, he was bigger than Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan and they were astronomically big. Tyson was the biggest thing of his time! When you listen to him speak, you can understand why Cus was so sure. The very first time Cus D’Amato saw Mike Tyson, he knew he would be the Heavyweight Champion of the World and he was only 12. He is an incredibly complex man. He was a child prodigy! You would be hard pressed finding anyone who lived life harder than Tyson,
@SJW libtard wrecker He took "the toad" when he was 52 years old and said it changed his life/him. So when did "he grew up"? Either before that experience (and told us as a then grown up man that it changed him) or in the 2 years after taking it (and told us taking it changed him). What is your point?
@SJW libtard wrecker Oh, you watched him, that means more than Tysons own claim and experience. C'mon, at this point even you have to realize that you are full of shit on this matter. But let's assume he did change when you watched it happen, you think he can't change again/ "grow up" more, 8 years after that? BTW you said it happened when/because he had kids, as the observant watcher you are you might have noticed that he lost a child (shortly before that period) which makes your claim pretty distasteful.
I love how humble Mike is now. I have huge love for you. And 99.9% of the United Kingdom are behind you! You have so much love here in the UK. Massive respect to Mike Tyson for the humble soul he now is. Major love brother!

That's why Mike Tyson will always be a champ in our eyes, especially NYC hometown supporters, because he keeps it 💯, from growing up in a dysfunctional home, to becoming the youngest heavyweight champion of the world. I really enjoyed this podcast. Mike has the best conversations with people that he’s known for a long time. Much respect to both of these legends!
Some of the things Mike says makes me just wanna ball up and cry. This man has been through literally everything imaginable. I love the respect as well as the common love in the air between Mike and Jim
Jim took over this interview REAL QUICK. LOL.
That's good because people really want to hear mike talk about his pass.
Mikes ability not to let anything ruffle his feathers is absolutley admirable!!!!
@xtcthc hkfhjj smoke does that....
Really? It seems like it's the other way around. I'd argue that Mike's feathers are very easily ruffled, it's the drugs or medications that make him appear to be a a finely feathered fiend or friend.
That didn't happen over night
Jim Gray during this interview was amazing in the stories and depth of subject matter that came out of Mike.
Much love Mike on your self growth and willingness in repairing past moments and acknowledgment of mistakes.
The realness im mindblown glad OG Jim Gray was there best podcast ever heard these far 🙌 WOW
Jim Grey is like a uncle you gravitate to for his wisdom and influence
Why do I feel like Jim is the only person that Mike would let dig so deep. And yet vice versa. To watch these two sit and just talk was amazing. There has to be another episode with Jim, there has to be at some point.
Very well-spoken. Loved this
well spoken dont mean shit or a swell talker is not important
Shut up
Stupid people that can't articulate thoughts or words^^
Present yourself in a well spoken manner and you'll get farther than most
Sonny. Listen was a good Gentleman

I love this show. Time flies when the conversation flows.
"Mike, was that your shortest fight ever?". Classic.
Top 5 greatest interviews
"I didn't train for this fight. I had to bury my best friend. I only trained two or three weeks. I dedicate this fight to him."
Yup
@@truthsupreme was that best friend Tupac?
100 Cents That was the guy that shot 50 cent and years later 50 cent ends up buying Mike Tyson’s old house
“What was your feeling when she passed away?”.... revenge... followed by 5 seconds deadly silence
Jim looking at Evan like "this white dude getting Mike to take all these drugs"
Right😂
I noticed that. Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I noticed that as well Jim really cares about Mike everyone needs someone like that in their life I’m glad Mike has a few real people around him now.
Lol I saw it too
Thank you for this treasure.
This was the best podcast so far. Jim has such great questions as a guest.
I’ve never seen this side of Jim Gray, I always took him for granted I guess. Much respect to both men, a lot of wisdom being shared by both men.
One my favourite episodes to date, especially as Jim was able to get Mike to speak about some deep personal issues. Definitely need a part 2
YOU LEARN SOO MUCH FROM TYSON, I LOVE THE PODCAST...... HE HAS SOO MUCH KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM
I love how humble Mike is now. I have huge love for you. And 99.9% of the United Kingdom are behind you! You have so much love here in the UK. Massive respect to Mike Tyson for the humble soul he now is. Major love
brother!
Alot of us shld really see Mike for how he's endured all of his life's obstacles ...lots of respect towards Mike and his family ...
Tyson looks at Jim Gray like a father. Very cool to have mentors like that in your life.
This made me tear up...Mike's childhood was his fuel in the ring...that kind of motivation is nothing you can teach or learn..thats why he was Iron Mike! 💪🏾👊🏾👊🏾🥊
Mad love from Belarus!!!
Thank you 4 the show!!!
Wow!! Just the way he encourages jim to speak about his Father. Where he’s from, this and that the attention and interest he paid to him speaking of his father. What a heart to see come out of him. Love you mike
thank you
Definitely one of the top 3 podcasts I’ve watched you guys do.
I'm always misty eyed hearing Mike's growth and reflection. If I could be like Mike...
Is it weird that I just realized his podcasts are in black and white
Holy crap holy crap
With the red frame around it
Same lol
Took me like 5 to 7 videos to notice that. LOL
Lol me too man wtf
Jim Gray, thanks for sharing your deepest thoughts, relationship and experiences with your Dad.
That's why Mike Tyson will always be a champ in our eyes, especially NYC hometown supporters, because he keeps it 💯, from growing up in a dysfunctional home, to becoming the youngest heavyweight champion of the world. He sees the bigger picture with it's purpose, path of hope, and truth, it's definitely an encouragement to all who can identify. Peace✌champ Brooklyn ("Brownsville never ran, never will"), Harlem, and the buggy down Bronx has much love for you my brother🥊🥊...
