    About 10% more usable power and about 10% less in cost per KW for a gain in size of about 10%.
    Just when you thought you had the ultimate cell (18650) the goal posts get moved again.
    I'm thinking would phone batteries provide more power to mass. easily stacked with no space between them wasted. Or would they overheat having no air gaps for cooling.

    I have a bunch of 5000 mah 21700's as well as 4800 mah they might be the 4800 cells..
    I know this video a bit older.. You might have figured that out already.. :)

    I'm considering ordering the electronic load used in your video to test 18650 batteries, and I was wondering how you generated the graphs of voltage vs. time. Is there a way to connect the board to your computer and read the voltage values in real time, or did you use some other auxiliary equipment to record this data?

    • @EndermanEngineering
      @EndermanEngineering  5 лет назад +2

      Those graphs were not made with the electronic load, those were made by a friend who has professional grade testing equipment that costs thousands of dollars. I wish I had a battery tester like that!

    The Samsung 48G's have been around for awhile, they have a higher tested mAH and you won't pay a premium because the word TESLA isn't printed on them... and if you buy on Alibaba you could have ANY custom wrap so you could put TEZLA or BOOBY or whatever you like.

    • @EndermanEngineering
      @EndermanEngineering  5 лет назад +1

      The 48Gs have far less performance. The only cells with higher capacity are the LG M50s and the Samsung 50E2.

    • @silversrayleigh8980
      @silversrayleigh8980 5 лет назад +1

      @@EndermanEngineering The LG M50's discharge rate are at 7.28 amps while the Samsung 48G's have a 9.6 amp discharge rate. While the M50 will do 9.6 amps its not recommended however your right about the mAH of the M50, at least at 1 and 5 amps you'll get 300 or so more mAH than the 48G. But at 10 amps the difference is only about 70 mAH in favor of the M50. Im sure you know I'm just stating for other readers... But I'm very interested in the Samsung 50E2 that you mentioned. I have not heard of that cell yet actually. Is it a 21700 ? Im assuming yes... Do you have the specs ?

    • @silversrayleigh8980
      @silversrayleigh8980 5 лет назад

      @@EndermanEngineering Actually I have seen the 50 E2's ... Its over rated, their closer to 4900 mAH.

    • @EndermanEngineering
      @EndermanEngineering  5 лет назад

      @@silversrayleigh8980The discharge and capacity ratings from the manufacturer mean literally nothing. You need to look at discharge curves of real world tests done by hkj, mooch, and others. Those tell the actual performance and capacity. Also the 50E2 isn't even available yet so idk how you have "seen" them.

    • @silversrayleigh8980
      @silversrayleigh8980 5 лет назад

      @@EndermanEngineering Ya I didn't see E'2' s I assumed you were referring to the E 21700's and were summing up the 21700 with a 2. As far as my numbers that I stated earlier, there not from the manufacturer, they are from Thunderheart's REAL WORLD TEST reviews. But you should be careful of stating which cell you think has a higher performance before checking the amp discharge rate as the two cell's previously compared have different Amp ratings, and the M50's might not even be usable in many applications as the MAX amp discharge rate is 7.28 so its 'performance' won't matter if it doesn't even have the specs to make your device work in the first place. Many applications require over 9 or 10 but it really depends of course.
      Anyway are you offering any info on these 50 E2's ?

    Wouldn’t your test results be closer to 4.63Ah with 0.963A load at a 2.5v discharge? I have used that same load tester and it’s about 0.05A inaccurate at low loads and as much as 0.4A at 10A load settings.

      Slightly used for testing. It seems like the two that had glue on them were more heavily used due to the reduced performance. A new cell should be closer to the other two.
