Strickland talks about how even though he feels he has everything he could possibly want in life, that he still struggles on the daily dealing with his mental health.

Fellow victim of child abuse and PTSD. The reason you feel the way you do and why you might want to self-sabotage is because when things are going good, your brain is trained that your “emotional home” is chaos and pain. You didn’t grow up in a safe environment and intern your brain learned that. So when things are going really well, it’s even more foreign. Brother, I used to be so angry and hated the world. I’m just going to praise for you. You are one of my favorite fighters. I hope you heal mentally. Do it for us because you are a voice for us victims and struggling men.

I wonder if Sean understands his feelings enough to verbalize them. I personally struggle with this. When he worries about being a danger to people I wonder if that’s what he truly means. It sounds to me that he doesn’t feel worthy of being truly seen, like an outcast. Therefore he isolates. I wonder if HE ever feels safe in the world? He had to protect his mom from his dad. No one protected him. When he asks his gf hypothetical questions, you have to peel back the layers. "What if I killed somebody with my car? Would you be by my side?" sounds a lot like, "If I did this bad thing would you leave?" and if you peel back the layers even further the question becomes, "If you discovered I was bad, would you still love me?". I think Sean’s traumatic childhood stole his self worth. He doesn’t feel like a good person or that he deserves love or safety.♥

It might have something to do with ego. Most think ego only comes into play with being better. But it can also be the reverse; that you suffered more than others and hence feel yourself more than. Like with Sean you see he puts the emphasis more on the negative experiences out of childhood; before money & recognition and stuff.
And yet they are both a mental prison, one somehow has to breakthrough; to find peace. I hope he will!

Sean I know exactly where you’re at and I feel that way myself often. I get filled with anger and I don’t know why,. When I have those moments and I feel volatile, I remind myself of how much I have to lose and it grounds me.. even if it’s for a short while. Life is hard, life is painful but life is also beautiful and worth living for another day!

@@ACEshredZ yeah I feel so bad for him dude is stuck in his head, bipolar and bpd are pretty similar, he doesn’t have a huge ego, he’s down to earth, he doesn’t have extreme flips, he’s just constantly battling his thoughts and is either nice to people or terrifying to be around depending on how he woke up feeling that day. It’s progressively getting worse though cause we all accepted him now he’s unleashing💀

I hear you, Sean I am 63 and 24. I started tapping serious depression and mental health stuff. I’ve had all my life what helped me the most being part of the 12 step program and actually doing the steps thoroughly and honestly with somebody that’s walked through this it’s really a design for living, and it really connects you to the higher power That you can tap into it always been there You’ve
had a lot of trauma in life and I’ve had to. I was born with trauma. My mom was shot in the stomach and she lived and I did lot of my life person you’re not alone Shan stay honest talk to the right people, you know what’s right and what’s wrong
It’s important to break down in your life. What’s not working and surrender to that and then you’ll find through the process what does work for you

We all have flaws so we have to be humble each and every one of us.

Hey Sean I have depression and it's very hard to deal with it I take medicine and it's still hard. Sean some people need to speak to a counselor I do . And some days I don't even want to talk to anyone mental health is a very tough thing to deal with. God bless you and your family. Hope Sean gets help because he really does deserve to live happily. Sean, I love you brother. Im a Marine, your people. I have wonderful wife, wonderful life, no poverty at all, support from so many people. But still I have panic attacks all day every day. I battle them neadly 24/7. I recently have been turning to God intertwined with science of the mind. Its changing my life. Every confusion, every question is answered in scripture. You dont have to pick up a bible for it either. Whatever you are feeling, you can literally type in a search engine, "scripture for fear", "scripture for negative thought". Whatever you are feeling. God is in you Sean. He gave you everything you ever wanted. And you deserve his love my brother. God Bless.
