  • This is a demo for the KingTone mini OCTALAND Octavia pedal.
    The pedal produces a high octave above the note you're playing.
    Plugged into a Fender Quad Reverb which is the same as a Fender Twin but with 4 speakers instead of two. This Octaland pedal will produce the classic Hendrix, Band Of Gypsies and SRV high octave tones.

      @jessetwohands  4 года назад +3

      Mark S I am sorry to hear you’re having trouble getting the right tones. To set the bias, turn the mix, volume and tone to full. Turn the drive to 12 O’clock. Adjust the bias until the natural buzz from your guitar pickup disappears or is at its quietest. This is the default bias setting. To get the strongest octave tones, set the drive to 12 O’clock, the mix to full and the tone also to full. Set the toggle to vintage. Only use the neck pickup on the guitar. Play with an overdriven amp or into an overdrive pedal. Play licks around the 12th fret. You can also slightly roll down your guitar tone control for an even more pronounced high octave. Also, placing the Octaland 1st in the pedal chain is ideal.

  • @JohnSmith-oq4bc
    @JohnSmith-oq4bc 5 лет назад +11

    OK, OK,OK, I bought it! Stop making these pedals Jesse! I do not have any money left.... ;-) Is it that good? No... it is even better! Amazing pedal! The major problem with it is that when I put it at the the 30% mix, 50% tone, 50% drive 50% volume, it sounds soooooo good running into... wait for it.... King Tone mini Ge fuzz (damn you, you sweet sweet man..), that now I need a second one for an actual full octave sound.... It is the closest I ever got to the recorded Hendrix tones. The vintage setting is great, but the glass is just killer, it is like when you think it is impossible to EQ an octave to get this extra zing you were always missing... here it is. Jesse you are the builder for us SRV/Hendrix-obsessed.
    PS. Could you do a demo of the bias option for us lazy people who do not change the internal trimmers until somebody convinces us that it is worth it? ;-)
