the positive thing about the new investment etc and being involved in a multi club thing is if you look throughout europe you cant really find better prospects than hibs for relatively quick success for minimal investment, realistically say a 5 to 10 million investment in the squad would pretty much garauntee 3rd place and probably euro group stage qualification and at a push a title challenge, sell outs each week, huge away supports, cup runs, wins in glasgow and some derby supremacy could easily follow, the stadium and training infrastructure is their along with living in a beautiful vibrant city,we could have a massive pull for players and coaches to come here as a big part of there career, the potential is huge it just needs the proper vision and people to bring it to fruition, you could make similar cases for aberdeen and hearts this league could be fantastic if the right people are in place with the right targeted investment,no need for such poor product on and off the pitch, the interest is there with the fans it just needs to be ignited somehow to take it to the next level, there is no other league in europe that radical change could come so easily
Brilliant post.
@@Longbangers thanks ive been banging on about this for ages i wish it would get traction and the higher ups at clubs would listen
Is there someone snoring their head off when James is chatting round about the 23 minute mark?
I thought that as well!!
Thorsten Finke would be an exciting appointment and he wants the job
It’s bad enough the club accepting mediocrity, but now the bulk of the fans seem to be as well. David Gray would be such an uninspiring and lazy appointment in an attempt to appease the support. Do people forget he’s the man giving the inspirational pre-kick off talk throughout the season?
absolute rubbish,he would galvanise the club and get everybody moving in one direction together, its not lazy its practical,he would need massive help with recruitment but a head coach always does these days, fans love when home grown players come thru the ranks so why is it lazy when its promoting staff, and as for uninspiring?whats more inspiring than playing for arguably the biggest legend and captain the club has ever known
@@simonpeyton-n3hHow would he galvanise the club? He has been a key member of failure after failure. We have had zero success since he became a member of the backroom team.
Because he scored a winning cup final goal doesn’t make him a manager. If that’s the case let’s bring in Stokesey as his assistant then 🤷♂️
He’s dour, uninspiring and doesn’t have the necessary experience. It’s clear he can’t motivate the players because that huddle throughout the season has simply been a waste of time. Can count on one hand how many games we started well.
Beuzelin or Mixu as assistant?
as a former manager in what world does mixu come back as a number 2?maybe a director of football or something higher up but thats it and those positions are filled, boozy on the other hand if he could implement his playing style into his coaching in any way could only be a good thing only as a coach though not an assistant
Bring back Heckie
not the worst shout in the world, hes a very talented capable and knowledgeable individual was just wrong time wrong squad at hibs
