    I just happened on your channel , I sure enjoyed it ! We are here in the Az. heat , so the snow scene was VERY MUCH appreciated ! Originally , I'm a Colorado boy , so you bring back fond memories of trees , cold and snow. I just acquired a 1926 T touring car , it's an older restoration , but plenty good enough for me. At 70 , I just wanted a tinkering project , and I think it will fill the bill. It came with a new wiring harness that was never installed. That's kinda been my first project with her. Loved the video , will put you on my subscription list ! Thanks for the memories !!

      It's great to hear we have another T owner out there. We love our T. We tell everyone it's 1/2 the speed but twice the fun. If you can, find a Model T club near you to join. The support from the Model T community is emmence. You should be able to Google the Model T Club of America. They will have a list of local clubs. Thanks for watching and subscribing .... 6:16

    I stumbled across your RUclips channel. I like it a lot. I am living in Oregon right now. I don’t get a whole lot of snow. Are used to live in Minnesota. I really do miss the snow.
    I have a 1925 Chevrolet 2 door coach. I’m still in the process of restoring her.

      Normally we do not get much snow here. Single didget temps are not very common either. So it gave us the opportunity to play a little and experience what our grandparents had to endure. Your 25 chevy will be a nice car. It will make a nice candidate to do what we are doing. They are so much more fun out in the wild than sitting in a garage. I have a friend who has a 26 chevy coupe. Thanks for watching. More videos to come as we get time.

    HELLO FROM DETROIT ❤
    Mr. Ford built such rugged lil cars. I'm gonna buy one this summer and use it as my daily driver around the city 😁
    Thank you for the winter ride. Was fun to watch & I appreciate the frozen film Crew too 🙌💯

      Install a battery disconnect under the seat with a removable key.
      I live South of Boston/ Edison.
      Even if they can't figure out how to drive it, they'll still want to steal it.

      Thanks. I am blessed to have a very good film crew. We both enjoy camping in general, as well as the vintage camping we do with the T. We are still very new to the you tube thing and still learning, but it is fun ....

    We here on the island of Curacao we enjoyed very very much your footage of yesterday. It’s Sunday and here we have tropical weather and the Model T is surely not afraid to perform in the cold whether you all experience there. Thanks so much for the warmth hospitality we feel your presentation reflects and so gorgeous at the end of the fireplace that was the cherry on top of the cream. Very much enjoyed your RUclips. Have an awesome week now. The Jacobs😊

      Thanks for the very nice comment. After a little time out in the cold we are a little envious of your tropical weather. Although, the warm fire and a little hot chocolate did help thaw out. Thanks for watching .

      I definantly have a very good wife. Without her none of this would be possible. She even still rides with me even after I turned the T upside down a little over 3 years ago, with both of us in it. I talk about the wreck event and show a few photos in our video "3 days and 2 nights camping" if you have not already seen it. Thanks for watching .....

      Jettie, In my defense, there were two blankets in the back seat. A lot of our camping gear is always in the car. They were just on the bottom of the pile. Thanks for watching as we go thru our second childhood. ... 😮

    Love that satin black your T is painted. I think when I repaint my 26 coupe that the color scheme I am going with.

    • @donniebrown-mv7hb
      @donniebrown-mv7hb  Год назад

      The black Model Ts were not originally painted with a shiny paint. Most Ts today are over restored as to the paint. They had a slight satin finish and lots of runs in the paint. My car is about 75% original paint. We spent weeks at my friend's body shop matching the color to my paint under the seats and under the dash area as well as to the many New Old Stock (NOS) parts with original paint that we have. We took great pains to leave all the original runs in the paint. We lightly scuffed the original paint and shot a very thin cover coat of the newly matched paint over the original paint on my car. That's why I say my car is 75% original paint. The original paint is still on the car under our thin cover coat. The wheels had been powder coated by the previous owner. They are correct as to being yellow, but they are a little to bright. The original yellow was called "straw" We will repaint them "straw" someday, when they need repainted. Thanks for watching.

    I bet people drive by on the highway, see those tire tracks going off in the ditch and look for a wreck! Looks like fun! I really need to get my ‘26 out. With the snow we’ve been having here I thought it would be fun to drive it to work. Maybe someday.

    • @donniebrown-mv7hb
      @donniebrown-mv7hb  Год назад +1

      We live in the Ozarks of Arkansas. When it snows almost everything that runs is brought out to play. If it is 4 wheel drive it is guaranteed to be in the ditch at least a few times. So most folks would not even think about a few tracks off into the ditch. 😅

    I was wondering if you were going to jack a wheel up, or heat the pan somehow... They you showed us the aux trans! Sure starts and runs well. Love your channel.

      No hot coals, in a pan under the engine this time. It really amazed me how much difference the Warford auxiliary transmission makes with starting. Back in the Model T era an auxiliary transmission was a very popular accessory. After using this Warford for a couple years I can see why. Thanks for watching and following us.

    Did the Warford replace the original model T transmission? I love seeing you drive it in the snow.

    • @donniebrown-mv7hb
      @donniebrown-mv7hb  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, The Warford is an auxiliary transmission that fits behind the stock engine/trans. You remove the stock drive shaft, install the Warford, and re-install a 12 inch shorter driveshaft. Everything is in bolt in kit form, and by saving the original parts it is very easy to go back original in the future. A stock Model T has 2 gears. A low that is too low most of the time and a high gear that is too high a lot of the time. With the Warford that is a 3 speed, it gives me six forward gears and 3 reverse gears when used in conjunction with the stock Ford gears. They were a very popular accessory back in the Model T era. It is very useful to us living in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Thanks for watching ...

    is that car converted to 12 volt? It turns over way faster than mine.

    • @donniebrown-mv7hb
      @donniebrown-mv7hb  Год назад +1

      Yes, it is 12 volts. We rewired the starter to 12 volts. With all the camera batteries and phone batteries, we need 12 volts for charging. We can go thru 5 or more Go-Pro batteries per day on most trips. So good charging is a necessity. Thanks for watching ...

    What kind of fuel does she run on? Do you have to use a lead additive?

    • @donniebrown-mv7hb
      @donniebrown-mv7hb  Год назад +1

      Runs on gasoline. About any grade will work OK. Model Ts will burn almost anything. No additives needed. When most Ts are overhauled today we install modern valves and hard seats. So unleaded gas is OK.

      In 1908, when model T's were first produced, the extra low compression not only allowed them to be started with a crank!, but allowed them to run on alcohol, kerosene and dry cleaning fluid (gasoline).
