Mets fans cheering while getting destroyed and then Ramirez getting ejected immediately after is peak entertainment
Mets fans are like Mets players. Read into that as you choose.
Rhys just asking for it...
Cohen steaming mad rn
Too little too late...
Ron Darling said it "too late to throw at a guy who beat your brains in"
...after that ass-hat slid into one of our best players, THE VERY NEXT PITCH SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT THE BATTERS HEAD. Doing it the next day is useless.....
I freaking love the Mets announcers. The least bias announcers in the game. They serve everybody equally. They concluded that by calling it intentionally. Gotta love them
They are the best because they don't get biased. The Mets fans are the ones that can't see when their own team was wrong.
@@schrapnellcotton3413 what Ramirez did wrong was fail to hit Hoskins in the temple. He should be fined for that.
@@paulfreire7477 Yeah maybe you should be suspended too. Nothing worse than fans who can't find fault with their own players and coaches when they do wrong. smh
@@schrapnellcotton3413 suspend me
@@paulfreire7477 Nah, they have the small school buses for you. It takes some people longer.
The Mets can't even intentionally throw at a batter right. I mean they wait until after Hoskins is 3-3 with 4 RBI's and a HR and they are down 6-2. The Mess are in midseason form.
I loved Hoskins comment about being thrown at, " I don't know if it was intentional but this is the major leagues, you shouldn't miss by 8 feet. " lol, yup
Mets with the #1 payroll in baseball and starting drama with a team that has less than 1/3 of their money, while simultaneously getting destroyed by them is the most Mets thing ever.
The Mets fans applauding that kind of behavior speaks volumes about their morales and class.
Exactly..they're trash
Typical NYC...trash 🗑️
No . retribution for sliding into McNeil in a prior game. may not be pretty but he should have hit him. Old school here.
Almost like Hoskins expecting no consequences for his actions
@@michaeljensen2013 You hit him in his first at bat with the base open. You don't wait until his 4th at bat
TrackMan on that pitch like...😮. 'Yup, that's about three strike zones outside! You'd have to blind and dead to think that was a strike, Angel.'
That makes the mets look so weak.
Of course it was intentional
Yes it was.
Yes it was.
Yohan Ramírez, meanwhile, was suspended three games for throwing behind Rhys Hoskins. Rhys Hoskins went 3-for-4 with a walk and four RBI in the win, but the box score is only a small fraction of the embarrassment for the Mets.
hittign with a Pitch is the dumbest move you can make
They got swept. Mendoza was suspended for Sunday's game.
@@chriskay1449 And he has to stay on the 26 so now they are down a BP arm for 3 more games.
@@scottystcloud7086 He appealed so he is playing right now.
Mets fans you’re embarrassing yourself! No respect!
WHAT A JOKE. THAT WAS INTENTIONAL.
Little late on the retaliation...3-3, 4 RBI's
Right? 😂😂
A little late?🤣
Chase Utley and Hoskins both absolutely terrorizing the Mets, after leaving Philly, solidified their legendary status in the eyes of Phillies fans forever.
Difference though. The Hoskins play was on the bag. Utley’s was the dirtiest play in recent memory, well off the bag, and ended a career
@@ericschneider4976 oh well. The Mets players, organization, and fans are the bane of human existence.
The Mets could be in BIG TROUBLE this season. Not only are they a lousy team, they are a bunch of crybabies 😭🤣😭🤣
Wresltmania is in Philadelphia this year. 😂😂😂
Lol you throw at someone after he pummels you to oblivion 😂 tf were the Mets thinking
They weren't. These are the Mets after all.
Clearly intentional. He ducked instead of moving back. Hoskins owns the Schmets.
The glove over the mouth says it all, he threw at him, and was told to.
I think we started a war with Rhys, in the second game
New York...FREAK SHOW CENTRAL!
Not a Mets fan, but one reason I do like their broadcasters is because they judge what they see without much bias at all. Well said guys
Didn’t see that coming 👀
Looks like the Mets are going to have problem with Milwaukee this year
Well, unfortunately for the Mets, they don't play the Brewers again until the final series of the season.
@@chriskay1449 ok sounds good
The Mets have always been disgusting
He was aiming for his head
Wait, wasn't the Hoskins slide ruled legal? And McNeil wasn't hurt by the slide..right? So why are they throwing at the guy? Wouldn't the better response to the Brewers just be to beat them in the game?
Because their manager is thuggish and immature.
“Legal” hockey bumps will get you punched in the mouth, too. Where the rule book doesn’t protect players, they will create their own deterrent to protect themselves.
But they couldn’t beat them in the game, that’s why they waited til the 7th inning to throw at Hoskins 😂.
i thought the slide was legal as well. did not look dirty either
They obviously couldn't do that so I guess this is the next best thing. Mets fans cheering because they already know this will be the highlight of their season lol
Benny Bang -Bang from Zack Hample in the crowd
One player is into the heads of a whole team lol
doubtful
Yeah 😂😂😂 so true
Yep... RUclips are going to have this of the MLB ejection videos
Miss you rhys 😢
I do too!!!!!
It's the Mets, of course it was intentional.
My father, a long-suffering Mets fan, would be spinning in his grave now if he knew how LolMets is still alive. RIP...
The time to do it was at the first at-bat, even if that means bringing in a reliever to start, do the HBP, and then bring in the starter.
Just got away! Come on
I was surprised he didn't charge the mound great self control and also Glad he Didn't Escalate it further
Rhys aint built like that
@@grassisgreener123 so guess he we won't see him charge the mound
He didn't have to. Rameriez immediately charged after him.
Lol. Was it great self-control when he tried to break McNeil's legs?
@@VegasPokerNomad Dude, he didn't try to break McNiel's legs. No keep the same energy for McNiel when he dove at the 2nd basemens legs 3 feet outside the base line vs the Braves. STHU.
the Mets are a bunch of pussys and whining over a double play take out. throwing at a dude is pussyball no wonder they are wack and People in NY are stank looking goobers with dumb voices this is LA Cuh bring that wack corn over here
All of this for a slide that was ruled clean.
He also basically beat the Mets by himself today lol
So was the slide that made Hoskins miss the 2023 season
It wasn’t clean
@@FatBichon according to the umps it was.
Ruled legal. They'll never rule if it was clean or dirty
Ramirez does have terrible control. Him and the strike zone are mortal enemies.
I can see a bunch of Brewers fans gathered here to comment. I’m not a Met or Brewers fan and I think Hoskins slide was very late at best. If Hoskins doesn’t think twice about taking out a leg at 2nd base Ramirez shouldn’t think twice about knocking his ass into the netting behind home plate. If these are the standards we’re playing under so be it.
Some of those guys will not be allowed to play baseball in Singapore.
Geeez, brush back pitches have always been part of the game. Today's game is so lame.
This is embarrassing. Mcneil clearly screwed up on the transfer and tried to save face by redirecting anger at hoskins. Now this?
I am a life long Mets fan, so far back l went to my first game in 1967. But, throwing at a player is not acceptable. You can seriously hurt another player ending their career or give them an injury that is permanent. Not cool. If you throw at a player, less deliberating and eject them from the game with a one game suspension and a fine. It will stop.
Good call
If he wasn’t throwing at the hitter why charge the hitter
Every Mets pitcher for the past few decades who has tried plunking an opposing player as retaliation has missed. They can’t even do that right. lolmets
😂😂😂
You don’t see the Mets getting hit with pitches after this incident. Just saying.
Most teams dont throw at their opponents to begin with, let alone when they are easily beating them
That was an intentional pitch that nearly beaned Hoskins and that pissed me off as a Brewers fan. Totally blatant and unnecessary. I can’t blame Pat Murphy for being upset over that blatant pitch and good for him defending Hoskins after a conversation with the umpires.
Hoskins slide was extremely dirty
Told you it was today with Tom Miguel in a mile
Id that the Mets team that has highest payroll in baseball and gives you absolutely nothing in return...
Darling is awesome.
I wish Hoskins had went to The Jays.
Clearly there was intent to hit the batter.
I don't understand these MLB retaliation rules, you wait till your down to throw at him and not the first time he's at bat?
That’s why Mets fans are classless. You never cheer for a headshot never!
And immediately thrown own of the game. Probably going to get suspended. Would not be surprised if Medoza gets suspended too. That's what happened to Buck. This happens every time Mets "retaliate" lately. Don't even have to hit the guy, although, where the ball was headed, I'm glad it didn't hit him. But jeez man. Issue a warning. Message was sent. Move on. It's like they want the Mets to get constantly bullied.
Thats why mets haven't done nothing since the 80s. They've made how WS since then? And lost them
mets has a history of this dirty pitching behavior
The Mets need to focus on winning lol. Not even sure why McNeil was mad just get out of the runners path when turning a dp.
MLB changed the rules years ago when the Mets SS broke his in the playoffs due to a similar slide. As for the run, you must give yourself up early when it's clear you're out on the play. McNeil was on the backside of the base when the run slid late in an attempt to break up the double play. The rule states you can't slide past the base.
@@dougadkins7006 it was ruled clean. Late yes but clean. McNeil acted like he was taken out on an Utley type slide.
@@dougadkins7006 if what your saying is true then wouldn’t the ruling be that the slide was illegal and the runner at 1st is out as well?
@@patskers1 The rule changes are meant to protect the players. Last week, Lindor put his foot in front of the bag while tagging out the runner a mile in front of the base. The ump called the runner safe because Lindor blocked the base from the runner. The rule was changed for the safety of the fielder and to create more offense. The same goes for the play with McNeil. It was to protect the fielder and the runner. Technically, the runner was within reach of the base, but the intent was to break the rule. The runner spiked McNeil's right ankle, and the runner's body rolled into McNeil's left knee, causing it to buckle. Hard slides like that have been taken out of the game.
@dougadkins7006 The league ruled the slide was legal. You're a random Mets mark on RUclips. I'll go with the league ruling of legal. Nothing you say matters. You're like a Trump supporter, my way or it's fake news. Weak.
That's what McNeil( the scrubb) started. Players today dont know the fundamentals.
I didn't see anything wrong with anything anybody did.
0-3 Lmao
Again the classless N.Y. fans cheering for throwing at a guy's head. The class of the brewers manager, said he didn't think it was intentional. Fny!!!
It all started because McNeil says, "Waaaahhh!" LolMets!
Buck wouldn’t hav done s@it
And that would've been the correct move.
" ...and here's the first pitch of the mets '24 season!!....
(Knock!!)......AND THE SEASON'S OVER!!!!
Hoskins is their daddy as history has shown
This is why mcneil shud be off this team, prima donna
I love how this contributes to “speeding up the game” 😅
Rhys got a taste of what THE ROCK was cookin
The Hell’s that LAME BRAIN announcer (and HOMER) talking about?! He NEVER “Threw it 3 feet OVER HIS HEAD”!
They gotta do something to get people to watch Boreball.
Ryhs bout to have a BLOW UP year, we will miss him in Philly.
"Has to be a warning?" Obviously on purpose, throw that pos outta the game
Shocker how Hoskins gets mad for that, but he's okay sliding late past the base and lifting his spikes. I've umpired for years, and even teenagers can control their spike levels...
Hoskins likes to act all tough when he’s in the dugout or his teammates are next to him.
When McNeil was yelling at him 2ft away he acted as if he didn’t hear him and ran to the dugout. Than Ramirez is 2 ft from him after throwing at him and stares at him and Hoskins says and does nothing. Waits until the player exits the game and goes back to the dugout before he makes his crying motion and talks trash. Clown.
Agree. And was thinking the same thing.
Because mcneil is a baby. He lost the ball on the transfer, was embarrassed, and tried to take it out on hoskins. Why expend energy on some butthurt player?
Must be pos Mets fan, typical 😂😂😂😂
LOL you are calling him a clown for being smart to avoid ejection? The only clown here is you.
@@geddoe316 Also, why get yourself ejected? He was smart to do nothing.
So you can intentionally try and end someone’s career and taunt them afterward with zero punishment, but when they try and retaliate their guy gets tossed? Wokeness has ruined everything
Hoskins was hardly trying to end anyone's career. What ever happened to a middle infielder flashing across the bag as he takes the throw, so he doesn't get taken out?
LFGM
Ya Garbage
Yanks own this town 😘
LFGM to get swept.😅😅😅
Three games for that?
LETS GO YOHAN!!!
He seems like he's from the streets, ready to fight over something legal. Doesn't seem very smart.
@@schrapnellcotton3413 You/re actually describing Hoskins.
@@FatBichonHoskins wants to fight over something legal? Huh?
@@someoneyoudontknow7705 legal? He purposely tried to blow mcNeil’s knee out!!!! If that’s not being a thug and playing dirty, I don’t know what is.

Amazing the Batter gets ÷jected before the Pitcher.
Hoskins wants to play old fashion base ball. Bob Gibson would have drilled him.
What the hell is Darling looking at?? Alvarez did NOT set up on the inner part of the plate, he was set in the middle. How can you watch the replay and claim something so blatantly false? He might as well be a Brewers broadcaster.
Sounds like you’re on your period. Make sure you have enough tampons
Yes, I think you found the crux of issue. smh
Listen the slide was legal but what happened afterwards was not,he went straight for Mcneils legs,if anyone would of done that to me of course I will be angry,as for the Mets broadcasters who deemed this terrible lord have mercy what is wrong with them especially Keith because if anyone would have done that to him he definitely be out there slug it out, kudos to the Mets for retaliating,Hoskins should of known better he just came back from acl surgery
Lets go Mets
Yes, it was all legal. Slide before the bag, keep in contact with the bag...O'Neill knows this...has to get out of the way. He seems wimpy.
Yeah and the fielder plays a part in their own safety as well. Receive the ball and get the hell outta the way. Watch the video again in slow motion…McNeil’s foot was “on the other side” but in the middle of the bag and he was a literal STATUE just planted there. Really difficult to miss him completely. And it’s part of the game that you CAN slide into someone to break up a possible double play.
Finally.....Mets need someone with some gonads
@dannaquinn1978 childish? It's called hardball
What gonads? They always fail at retaliating
Yeah, immature manager. To do that with a clearly legal slide was poor sportsmanship and dangerous. The pitcher seemed immature too like he wanted to fight. The Mets sportscasters were even stating how bad it was.
@@madwax1360 Yep, you retaliate when someone does something that is legal. Yeah poor sportsmanship.
@dannaquinn1978would you like it if someone slid into second with the intention of injuring you
Good, Hoskins is a punk
Love Rhys.
Softy’s… just fair to take him out of the game.
Mets and their fans. WHAA! WHAA!
If I noticed someone who worked for me standing and clapping after this I would fire him immediately first thing this morning.

Biggest misconception in baseball is that teams are entitled to a warning. If the ump knows it was intentional they have every right to eject
Waaaaah
@@boppityboopy114 that's not the point I was making. This has been an ongoing trend with the Mets, specifically. No warning. Just a toss plus suspension. Like clockwork. Other teams are granted some leeway. Heck, just last year Alvarez got plunked in the shoulder for celebrating homeruns. Everyone knew it was coming. No one was even mad. Also got plunked by Morton. Everyone knew that was coming because Alonso was trash talking. They issued warnings and let the game continue. (I actually don't think any were issued in the Braves series) Yet if it was the other way around, the Mets get the book thrown at them. There's no leeway. It's frustrating.
It missed him because Hoskins ducked, only reason. You penalize the intention which was dangerous. Immature manager, immature reliever.
And the pitcher immediately ran towards the plate looking for a fight after throwing LOOKING to hurt Hoskins for a legal slide 😂😂😂 dude needs to take some literal chill pills during that suspension
