I actually slowed this video down in order to follow it accurately I am making this hat for my younger daughter who is grown and I don’t want to make any mistakes. Thank you for going stitch by stitch clearly
I have only made two hats (both were easy basic beanie) before attempting this one, it looks great and is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Made it for my mom for her birthday. I only had to take about 11 rows out twice because it turns out the teen size is what I needed to make and I think the first time I messed something up. This is my new favorite hat pattern! Very newbie friendly!! You explain instruction very clear! Thank you!
Very, very nice. I watched you make this hat from start to finish. You explained everything very well and did an excellent job. My fingers are itching to make one. Thank you so much.
Thanks for your wonderful tutorial, especially at the end of your rows n staying with us for the herringbone stitch which was totally new to me....well done!
That stitch is so much fun! I used it accidentally and was told that it was an extended hdc. I like it being called herringbone hdc better lol thank you so much for sharing.
She’s actually doing a herringbone. An extended hdc is yarn over insert n pull up a loop yarn over pull thru one yarn over pull through 3. Just Incase u want to try it
I love this hat! I don't have any bulky yarn, so I might try this with 2 strands of worsted weight held together. This does look like it gives your hands a solid workout 😂
Going exactly by this of her video tutorial, and it fit those ages, or did you have to do some changings to them, as I need to Crochet 1 up for a 8 years old boy.?
I have a few great tips for using a homemade pom maker! -Slip your yarn you are going to use to tie your pom off between your two pieces of cardboad before you start. When it comes time to cut your ends you already have it there and lose less pieces and your sides stay more even! -To get a nice tight tie off, instead of wrapping your pieces around once and pulling, try wrapping around twice or even 3 times. This leaves your initial tie in place when you let go, and it doesn't loosen up on you. Great video, and I will be making my boys these hats very soon! Hope my suggestions help! Happy Crocheting!
This video is amazing .explained very nicely.I made it for my daughter and it came out beautiful.Planning to make more hats .Thanks a lot.Keep making more videos.
Hey!Yes, I followed her instructions. But I skipped a couple of rows. I tried to use the measurements of my child's head. It was long back. I couldn't exactly remember dear. Sorry.
How many stitches are between the ears in the back? I made a hat and put them in the side equally and had to rip them out. I didn't understand where you place the ears. I am new to crochet.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful. Your a good teacher your explanation and you go slowly so i understand. I just need to have the confidence to do this myself. I like the pom pom and uneven is unique.
How cute your nails match the yarn :-) I am trying to use this pattern for Jayne from Firefly, a cult classic show, but it's for an adult 23" head size... wish me luck!
Hey Fuad are u ok hope ur keeping well could I do double crochet or half double crochet instead of herringbone stitch if you would plz kindly let me know gita
I used Lion Brand chunky with a 5.5mm hook and it turned out too big. I was making it for my 3 year old so I followed the smaller size. What did I do wrong?
So I'm working on this hat and once I hit the "new" stitch where you go into one stitch and then back into the previous stitch, the stitches raised all the way around? I tried flipping my work and then redid it to where I didn't flip over and try tightening the tension but it's still much more raised than the previous 12 rows? Thoughts?
It looks so nice and I really like to try it, but I want to do for my three nephew, their ages are,11, 9 & 6.. so how should I do the different sizes? I hope you can answer me♥️♥️
Its 4am and I just finished!! Took me 3 hours to make it but it's worth it! Thanks for this video, love from Greece 💛

Hi Nadia. I have been so crazy busy crocheting for my kids and grandkids. Your kids’ hat was the only one I could find that was perfect for them.
That's the prettiest yarn I've seen you use.

Nadia, your begging slip stitch knot is still my favorite way to start.

Hello, I want to make this hat but I want to use a 4 ply yarn. Should I change anything in the pattern? Should I use a 5 or a 5.5 hook? Thanks ;)
