Haven't been to the UK so maybe there this could have been considered somewhat of a scam over there, but here in the US an offer like that is ALWAYS restricted to a future visit, hardly any exceptions on that matter. I find it to be a legitimate way to encourage repeat business especially since they gave you something for nothing, maybe they could have been a bit more transparent but I would have never expected for them to accept it as payment for the bill, do you think they are a charity of sorts? free drinks and money for doing something that is hardly a feat? We already knew we weren’t going back again, so we double and triple confirmed with the manager that we could use the vouchers on today’s bill. There was no room for ambiguity.
