- Celtic legend Stiliyan Petrov joined us this week to discuss his former team’s trip to Tynecastle this weekend, share memories of the Martin O’Neill era and playing against Ronaldinho. He also gave us some insight into memories of a young Jude and Jobe Bellingham from his days of playing in the over-35s league in Birmingham.
Alongside him, Scottish footballing hero James McFadden waxes lyrical about Ben Doak and Scotland’s recent UEFA Nations League fixtures.
With Footy Adventures’ Sam North back in the hosting seat with Gordon Duncan, the team looks ahead to the weekend’s fixtures and gives their views on Rangers’ recent appointment of Nils Koppen as Technical Director at Ibrox.

Great to chat to such legends! 🏴🤝🏼🇧🇬
Good show 👏 👍
Love how nonplussed James is with everything.
Always keeps it real.
Inspiring and engaging 🤣
Stan Petrov! Legend
Two great players from a great era in Scottish football
35:40 Larsson, what a player. Scoring on and off the pitch!
Petrov and Hartson will never forget the support Celtic fans and others gave them during their darkest days,,,,,Sam getting more at ease as time goes by,,,,,
Fair enough but hardly your place to say that😂
These two were the best combination by an epoch, thus far. That said, I’m astonished at Petrov picking Berbatov over Hristo Stoichkov!??
Berbatov could do everything . If you see the Berbatov documentary he was years ahead of anyone He couldn't Run but he didnt need two like lubo🍀
* to
Ľubomír Moravčík should also not be in any conversation with Hristo Stoichkov. Stoichkov is a Ballon D’or winner who dragged Bulgaria to a World Cup Semifinal. If you polled Bulgaria, less than 5% of people (that aren’t keyboard kids that only watch the EPL and their own team) would put Berbatov above the Barcelona legend and monument to the game.
Saying Berbatov is better than Stoichkov is akin to a Czech saying Karel Poborsky is above Pavel Nedved.
He played loads more with Berbatov - he says so. Stoichkov would've been nearly retired by Stans time. Berba would've been in his prime playing alongside him, he saw him at his best up close
@@MammaZizouStan knows more than you
Great to have sam back on!
🏳️🌈
Berti meant to say GALLUS when he was speaking about Faddy...
The minuets Luiz Dìaz got a long term injury, I dont no why but at that point I had a feeling Ben Doke was going to Liverpool & that what happened 😢
Rangers man. Petrov what a guy man😅
Re the chat regarding Steve Clark when he does get sacked I hope that ange postecoglu is available he would get a Scotland team playing like wee terriers snapping at heels playing with freedom for 45 minutes a half the way we should be . The way the euros panned out no shankland or Forrest when we needed to win baffles me it’s up there with Levein and 4-6-0 . Big ange would be a perfect fit for a Scottish team wouldn’t he ????
Here's a few extra full stops n commas etc i had, if you wanna use them? 😂
, , , , , . . . .
Only on the wind up mate. Did have to read that a few times though.
Stan played up front that game he claimed he marked Ronaldinho.
I’m just here for the comments 😂
Good choice having Stan and James Maguire on
Naw its no 😂
What a gaff from Duncan: "You stepped away from international football".
Total arse.
Sam asks the worst questions. It's bad.
And repeats what everyone says. Why is he on? Adds nothing
theres the difference with Celtic and angers fc...Celtic have continuity,,,,look after old players,,,show respect etc etc,,,,,,rangers when they were rangers,,,,,did the same,,,,,those days are gone,,,,,angers are now just a blame culture,,,,they are the Torino,,,of Glasgow.
Showed a lot of respect at Killie recently for the minutes silence 🙄
Last week was superb but no great as Sam brings the show down I’m sorry but he does
Harsh
@@AlfieTheCat2024no I get that just my opinion go watch some of the shows back he is cringy and sometimes talks so much 💩
He insists on finishing long winded questions when the guess could have finished him answer already
@@petermackinnon7551He’s a RUclipsr, not polished with this kind of media presentation.
@@petermackinnon7551He's learning but I think he does really well
Sam isn’t very bright is he
Seems bright enough on all the videos touring the Scottish leagues. Does he say something really daft on this one?
Wouldn't say that at all
Hard working lad,,,,making his own luck,,,,seems more comfy on his own,,,,but he is getting there,,,people forget how sharp Scots are,,,,our patter seems cutting,,,,but the way it is,,,but Scotland has given Sam his career,,,,,he knows that,,boy was brought up on a farm,,,,he knows graft.
hows the call centre working out for you?
@@james6901Where’s the sharp ‘patter’ here? Also that’s not a Scottish thing it’s more a Glasgow trait.
