You guys did a real slick job with this one. I sure wish I knew what you used for the resin putty body filler to smooth over everything. I've been using a light weight bondo body filler called feather-rite that dries to quick to mix more than a small amount at a time. It takes e forever so something I could mix and spread like yours would be so helpful. Another great job you guys thanks.
For large scale covereage, we use resin, mixed with talc power. The talc gives it bulk, and makes it easier to sand down, rather than pure resin (which would naturally be too liquid). Were glad you saw this before little Harrison had the chance!
Did you figure out a resin putty filler to smooth over everything? I’ve been using epoxie sculpt but it’s too thick and expensive. I know they said use epoxy and talc in this video but how was the putty they used brown f they used talc??
Really impressed with the level of testicular fortitude shown on this project! If I had a garden, I'd make my neighbors jealous and use it as a sun dial. No one got shafted, complained about the tip, and all were happy with coming on time. Cheers!😂
The price of being able to create anything, is having to create on demand. Another great video, although your salty humour was a bit on the light side. It looks like a perfect smooth finish for the chrome. As a propmaker myself, I look and see if the project is illegal, and if not I build it for the customer. I wish that this project of yours could be counted in my weird commissions, but it does not even make it into the top ten.
Unfortunately. That's one of the only processes we don't do here in the studio. Always needs to be sent away to be done elsewhere (and annoyingly, one of the only parts that often don't go 100% right)
