i own this car. i drive it mostly in 180km/h on the highway and get an average 6 consumption if i go constant enough, it depends on your foot and on traffic and AC if it may go past 7 or not, but it usually it doesn't. it's an engine that likes sport driving. if i drive it on non highway roads outside of town, i'm usually getting the same 6 average consumption if i'm driving like a maniac, comparing to driving it quietly to 5.5 in traffic, so screw it. it makes you pass everyone, because this is a car that can pass absolutely everything. when i'm driving, no bmw is ever passing me, and if they ever do, it's a race then
I just bought Golf VII R-line with this 2.0 TDI engine 3 weeks ago. It is maybe too early to give some an objective opinion about it but for now I can tell how this car is great, although it is little bit too firm because of bad and bummpy roads in my country and I didn't find this engine "punchy" as I thought it would be. However, great reviews mate. I really enjoy to watch them. Just keep going with it :)
Hey there, a curious future buyer, what are your thoughts about it? Regarding consumption, durability and the feel of it. Many thanks and happy driving.
Great consumption, I've just tested yesterday Leon 1.2 tsi and let me a nice impression of sporty car, more sporty than new megane Can not wait to drive golf7 these days. Greetings from România and keep going with ure great videos 👍
+Cornel Con yes nowadays modern cars are more faster than old cars, with new technics, better fuel consumption and performance, thanks for compliment! :)
TEST DRIVE FREAK categoric but at new Megane I had 7.2 medium but indeed car was new, 800 km..anyway we have to enjoy of combustion engines bc theyr life come to the end, electric cars will rule the world soon..
nice video, thx! I cannot decide between 1.4 tsi and tdi 2.0 (both 150ps). if costs or fuel consumption dont matter, which one of both is more fun to drive in your opinion?
omegapsi847 Petrol is good if you do less than 15.000-20.000 km a year, plus it is much quieter than the diesel one. I would always choose the petrol as I think it's better, ( I have driven both of them). Nowadays I own the 1.4 tsi 150hp and it is perfect.
It depends on why you want, I own both engines and they are both superb. The diesel gets about 84 mpg (uk) on the motorway and petrol about 56. I would say the TDI is more fun but at the cost of noise and a bit more expensive to run. Both great and both seem just as reliable but I personally would go for the TDI
Had a new focus feel this is more responsive however drive a 20 yr old car with custom suspension cost less than 200 pounds and feels better depends on what you want to drive it for but seriously spent 160 on new coilovers for an old bmw feels a million times better than a mk7 diesle golf but sure if i spent a few quid on a mk6 or 7 golf could upgrade the drive a lot
Must say that vw quality is down with mk7... 6 years old, turbo damaged, intercooler leak, headgasket leak at 230.000km...before that i had mk6 tdi with 300.000km+ with no problems like that
180 km/h , silent and 8,3 Diesel consumption. excellent
I wis every car video was like this. I love seeing all the details.
Exactly
I have always been hating hatch backs...but this VW is really a pretty looking car ...Love VW
Dang looks beatiful these are like my favourite volkswagens
Great vid! I got a 2014 (150) dsg version. Didn't know it would do 140 mph!

Looks like 120 is the cars sweet spot

Mad of course it is. built for fuel economy
