Hearing the Adrian Smith solos in the Somewhere in Time Album, I realize that Adrian is kind of an David Gilmour of the Heavy Metal!! I've heard once tha Gilmour is one of your influences, and also I see a video where Adrian improvises Confortably Numb. As Gilmour, he is a Master on Pentatonic Scales. I can hear an influence on your guitar tone. He has more speed of course, because he is Metal guitarrist, but the essence of his solos isnt about speed and technique purely. The speed and technique are just two means to express inside your way of composing solo. Like Gilmour again, in his essence, hi is very expressive and emotional, and tells a story in his solos. Is like he reads the lyrics and try to express that feeling an that words in guitar notes, making your guitar solos a composition for itself inside the composition of the song. Once more very similar with Gilmour!! Bravo!!
54 years I've been watching guitar players do other players work. You are by far the best I have ever seen. I closed my eyes and I thought it was Adrian playing. Crazy

I always kind of regret that I slept on Maiden for the most part during the 80s. The only album of theirs that I bought was Seventh Son and that was using a gift certificate at a local record store that I won for winning my eighth grade spelling bee. At the time I didn't like it but since I've bought all of the first run of the Bruce era 80s records I appreciate it more, and obviously they're one of my favorite bands now.
Sounds great! Looks like its a lot of fun to play, too. Really nice job on those solos. Vibrato is spot on, as always and those great pinch harmonics did not go unnoticed.
I'm bassist (and big Steve Harris fan) I must say this is most beautiful guitar I have ever seen, and Harris Lado from that era was very special. Great job Nico. 💪🏻

Adrian's solos are the most amazing thing in heavy metal history, his fusion of blues like playing combined with rock/metal with arpeggios that'll make you wet your pants and his overall cohesiveness as a player is unrivaled. I literally cannot overstate how good his compositions are.... He's out of this fucking world. I also play Guitar and most people seem to think I'm really good but I'm not. At least when compared to these absolute legends. UP THE IRONS!
Awesome Nico . ...I'm 55 on Friday and yet I can still vividly remember taking my copy in to school and playing it on the 6th form record player while we poured over every photograph in the double sleeve cover. Also - Revelations is an awesome song which doesn't get the love it deserves. Oh - yes - the guitar is quite nice as well :) Keep doing what you do my brother - it's greatly appreciated
I can honestly say that is the album that started my Heavy MEtal journey which has lasted over 40 years being 14 years old and literally just buying live after death because of the cover not knowing anything else about the band I feel there’s a kindred spirit with this channel and the people who listen to it that we can listen talk, analyze, and love Iron Maiden and everything about their lifetime of music, which has been a part of all of our lives also I still have that double live album and I only listen to it today on vinyl not streaming or CD Thanks again for doing what you do, Nico

Geez - I'd forgotten that guitar - what a beauty (very envious !), I lived and breathed all those notes when I was kid after buying that album - always loved these live solos more than the studio versions - fantastic playing - you have the feel down perfect.
