Did you say that Rafeli didn't like dark skin Jews? Wow, where'd you hear this? In the USA we always get positive press about her. If this is true about her then my opinion of her has gone down considerably.

@Lagolop Obviously Bar Rafaeli can´t be 100% Jewish or even bit cause Ashkenazi females don´t have Middle-Eastern (Jewish) haplotypes in X chromosomes. Only Ashkenazi male have Middle-Eastern haplotypes. Ashkenazi females descend from females who married Jewish men that reached Europe. Same with Yemenite Jewish females although I´m not sure if they´re 100% non-Jewish.

Although both originate from Middle-East (except converts especially among Ashkenazi people originate from Central Asians and Europeans and among Middle-Eastern Jews from Arabs), they have different haplotypes. Semites are a LINGUISTIC group, not genetic. Serbs and Croats speak Slavic language but they are Dinaric peoples. Well we can´t expect much from someone who doesn´t even know the genetic composition of his neighboring peoples.

@magicwoalf No the difference is that European Jews mixed vigorously with locals and Jewish men married local women to the point that there is very little Middle-Eastern genes in the X chromosomes of European Jews. Also Ashkenazi Levites have a Central Asian haplogroup at the frequency of 50%. That means they have ancestors in Central Asia, not Middle-East. Only SOME Ashkenazi Jews descend from Israelites but often they too are mixtures, not pure.

genetic testing proves that ashkenazim come from 4 different women from eretz israel who settled in europe after exile and yes europeans became jews and married the "more semitic" looking ones therefore the blonde hair, blue eyes, and even some cases red hair came from. the reasom sephardim look "more semitic" is cuz of the people from around them who they converted for marriage. all jews and arabs have same common gene. so ashkenazim, mizrachim, and arabs are linked together
