One thing you said was to always have Jesus at the center of your conversation, especially if you have a short temper or you react and blow up. I think about how important knowing he’s in the middle of our conversation is. We wouldn’t want to argue in his face, and I think that’s an eye opener for me to be mindful of the way I speak because if he is at the center he can always intervene!!

Proverbs 17:17 "A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in a time of need." I think was one of my favorite verses for today's reads because the bible is literally giving you the perfect definition of what a true friend is and why it's important to have those kinds of relationships around. That verse to me also kind of relates to having that faith based community.

Personally, i felt like verse 9 was shouting at me, I had to forgive some people in my life recently and I’ve realized that holding onto that anger or disappointment or whatever that feeling is when you are hurt was actually hurting me in the long run 💯

Verse 16 is the one I reflected with the most today. It made me think of this guy at work who talks on and on about what he wants to do or buy and why he can’t due to his age. I gave him sound advice and went out to show him how affordable the things he was talking about can be. I realized he just wanted to hear himself talk and my advice as well as others were wasted upon him.
