"Slavs have nothing in common except for the similarity of their languages."🤦‍♂😁
My brothers and sisters, I have read these words and others of the same order many times, and in my opinion they are one of the biggest lies and propaganda against Slavs and Slavism.
Some people tend to forget that the Slavs are a people of many thousands of years. And as I said in this video, this is just a SIMPLE EXAMPLE!😉🙂
It doesn't matter if some people don't like it, whether they admit it or not. We are one and the same people!
For centuries some have tried to make us disappear, whether by weapons or by culture and ETC. Yet we are still here!✊
And we will ALWAYS be there!👍✊
"Slavs have nothing in common except for the similarity of their languages."🤦‍♂😁

Slavs have essentially the same culture with slight variations.
The defining haplogroup of Slavs is r1a.
Slavic languages have only split apart from each other relatively recently, therefore have less differences to each other than say germanic languages for instance.
Slavs used to all have the same pagan religion until Christianity came and messed that up.

The biggest lie you can hear about Slavs is that we aren't genetically connected. They say yes you are linguistically connected but you are of different origins.
    Well, the truth says this:
All Slavic countries have between 45% and 70% of I2a and R1a haplogroups combined( both are considered Slavic haplogroups that participated in the ethnogenesis of Slavs).
South Slavs assimilated a lot of people of Mediterranean origin so their phenotype is slightly different from eastern and western Slavs, but they are Slavs of course.
Bosnia for example, together with Belarus, has the highest percentage of Slavic haplogroups(70%).
East and West Slavs assimilated a lot of Baltic tribes , Celtic tribes , Germanic tribes... But they are Slavs!
Of course today all Slavic countries are 100% Slavic, doesn't matter who belongs to which haplogroup.
Genetics and linguistics just confirmed undoubtedly that before 1500 years we were one nation who spoke one language!

When someone says stuff like that in attempt to crush Slavic nationalism and to justify his separatism for his "Greater Poland, greater Bosnia, greater Russia, greater Serbia etc.". It is best to point at the fact that language is the foundation of an ethnic group, is the main factor in ethnogenesis or maintaining ethnic identity and that culture is only a byproduct of it which in most cases evolves or changes throughout the generations. Asking what else Slavs have in common is a question that requires broad answer which is only used for crushing Slavic identity and that is also nonsensical. It's like asking what do Han Chinese have in common. Slavic language has evolved into multiple dialects/varieties which are now considered separate languages while for example Cantonese and Wu are considered Chinese dialects while not being mutually intelligible, Sicilian and Venetian are considered Italian dialects while not being mutually intelligible, and many other examples. Also when looking at the Slavic linguistic history, there is no reason to call, for example, Polish language a Polish language.

The Cyrillic alphabet was codified from the Makedoniski dialect in Agean Makedonija, specifically around Solun. Many Makedonski traditions, dances, songs, religious customs, and cultural heritage has spread across the slavic world. The distinction between north and southern slavs is just a way to further wedge our culture and tear it from its roots.
Makedonijans are indigenous to the Makedonski peninsula. Slavs are indigenous to their lands and only those who want to confuse us want you to believe different.

Yes, all the same in the sense that we are all one. One people, one nation. Differences, of course there are. We conquered a huge territory and met other people, for the worse as well as the better, which brought among other things specificities, particularities between regions of slavia and between slavs. But yes, we have much more in common than you may think, this video is absolutely nothing, when you have studied our history and culture, you have no idea how much. I will not explain it all here, it would take more than one book on that. but believe, we have a lot in common, culturally, metaphysically etc..

Our politicians came to their aid, after years of pressure from the population. Dont oversimplify something just because you didnt take the time to learn basic facts that were available for years. Yes, wars suck, but genocide is worse. And right now Syrians and Iranians are more brothers to us than Poland or Ukraine. Yes, we are one people culturally, but ideologically divided.

The problems of 2022, 2014 or 2004 etc are one thing, and I know perfectly well who did what.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, my heart bled. I am a war refugee from Serbia, my family and I left because of the war.
When I saw the video of people leaving Kiev to rush to the airport, I felt that. I knew exactly what they live through.
I saw a family of Ukrainians walking in Ottawa city centre, I heard them speaking. I looked at the children and I saw myself 20 years ago. I know what they will live on, how they will live and what they will eventually feel : homesick, being uprooted.
That being said, I am not sure that Bulgarians qualify as slavs, don't they ? I knwo their culture is slavisized, but ethnically they are a turkic people that come from the Bulgar tribes that emigrated there. Nonetheless, I consider them slavs anyways, just not ethnically.

Being from North Macedonia, our culture, traditions, DNA, history, politics, present and ancient religions, etc is all undeniably identical to Greece, Bulgaria, Albania, and Turkey rather than to Russia and Poland. Our language shares some similarities to Russian but thats about where all the similarities end. Our people have our own distinct culture, we just adopted a Slavic language, just like how Egypt adopted a Semitic language but that doesnt make them any less Egyptian.

    • @SlavicPatriota

In view of your speech, you will not agree, I know it. I will not make a debate in comment, that said, you can say what you want it will not change anything. In short. To say what you say, you simply haven't studied Slavic culture and history (general, or Polish, Russian, etc.) or not enough, otherwise you won't make these comments.🤷‍♂
Just one example, "dodola" in Macedonia, the song and ritual that goes with it, is linked to the ancient Slavic gods, in this case Perun, whom all Slavs knew Polish and Russian too. and to link this ancient socio-cultural example common in Slavic, to romania that you talk about in your other comment, this tradition also exists in romania, which was transmitted to them by our people in the past, like the easter eggs decorated by example.
In short, this is just an example.😉
You are the example unfortunately (like others) which are the consequences of the non-Slavic-ideologies disasters.
Because before that, it never existed in Slavia, namely Macedonians, Serbs, Ukrainians, Slovaks etc, who do not call themselves Slavs, or that they are just "speakers" of the Slavic language. To say that the Slavs only have linguistic similarities, was born in the West, not in Slavia🤷‍♂. Then via several factors, other others the previous one, we see today of Slavs, who practice themselves the deslavization.🤦‍♂😞🤷‍♂

@@SlavicPatriota Again, I am from Macedonia so I would think I can speak on the behalf of my people when I say this, we dont identify as Slavs in any sense other than linguistically. Just like how Moroccans, Syrians, and Sudanese are genetically and historically and culturally and in all other terms different, other than the fact they share the same language. Or how Portuguese people are very different and share a completely different ancestry and history and identity from French or even Romanian or Aromanian people. Same goes for Macedonians. Just like Portuguese people didnt originate in Central Italy, Macedonians didnt originate in Ukraine - so we dont really share the same origins, culture (ours is mediterrenean/balkan, Ukrainian is carpathian culture), our history is Macedonian, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and Ukraine is Slavic, Kievan-Rus, Vikings, etc, our food is quite literally the same as Turkish and Greek, Ukrainian food is central european, Ukrainian music is central european and ours is Oriental/Balkan. Should I go on? Besides a language family that my people adopted from Eastern European invaders, we dont share much of anything else. We are both "Slavs" in the linguistic sense, but definitely not in the "same people/same origins" sense. Far from it.

      Samra Osmanovska
"Easter Egg decorating is common in all of Eastern Europe, Slavic countries and non Slavic included. "Slavic music" is not a thing. Macedonian music is much more Oriental and Polish music is central European (aka they have nothing in common). Slavic singing could be something you can argue but even that is a loose argument. Circle dancing, again, is common among all of Central and Eastern Europe and even Middle East, so definitely not just a Slavic thing. You have any more arguments or??"
"Macedonians are Slavs only in the linguistic sense. We dont share culture, history, DNA, or anything else for that matter with other non Balkan Slavic countries. And thats a fact. Macedonia is connected to Poland as much as Portugal is to Romania. Historically, they have nothing to do together other than they share a language family."
      So
"Again, I am from Macedonia so I would think I can speak on the behalf of my people when I say this, we dont identify as Slavs"
It's funny those I know don't say like you, like what.🤷‍♂😉
The egg and its decoration, for example in Romania or Hungary, was introduced into their traditions via the Slavs during mutual relations during tribal relations. All historians and ethnologists know it, or simply when we have studied it. Something you probably didn't do, given what you said.
The circle at the base is not a simple dance, (this too if you would have studied the culture you would have known it) it was a ritual linked to the ancient Slavic deities, and the pre-Christian beliefs, therefore cohesion common vision of things. Other people do so, so what? did I say the opposite.
There are two genetic poles common to all Slavs on different scales, everyone knows that, it's not a discovery.
The regions of Slavia have obvious particularisms, nothing surprising, obviously the relations with other people and culture, explains that, everyone knows.🤷‍♂
In short, your revisionism and negationism are distressing, like your desire for deslavization, as much as your lack of culture is pathetic. Besides, perhaps, are you from a non-Slavic minority in Macedonia and also Muslim, which "perhaps" apart from your lack of culture would explain your attitude. Add to this that all your discourse and vision of things is unconsciously the consequences of nationalism and nationalist ethnology, stemming from the concept of Slavic nations introduced around the 1800s.you are an example of modern auto-deslavization.
Still, thank you, because your comments only highlight what I say here or on the channel, so thank and bye
