She sings the theme of Lady Snowblood, "Shura no Hana"
This song was included in the soundtrack of the movie Kill Bill, the American director Quentin Tarantino.
Kill Bill is a Japanese-American film of 2003 and 2004,
the fourth film from writer-director Quentin Tarantino. Originally conceived as a single film,
But was released in two volumes, because of its length of approximately four hours.

The song reflects total revenge! In the movie Lady Snowblind, in which Kill Bill is based upon, a woman gets everything taken from her and she is determined to get her revenge, even if it cost her her life! She eventually dies!! The flower of carnage, once was beautiful is now outraged

Out of all the great songs in this film this is hands down my favorite. I have gone through many songs that I don't understand the words to then find the lyrics then find it changes how I felt the song. So for me not knowing now makes it better for some reason. Just like with 99 red balloons I love the original so much more then the English version
It's amazing to think the singer also stared in the movie this was from! Meiko Kaji was brilliant and gorgeous... Not only physically but her voice was amazing.
I love this song and when i get into a kick in hearing it, i play it over and over. Her voice is so haunting and beautiful. Lady Snowblood will always be a legend.
