Might I suggest these settings to mitigate the ghosting issues (specifically in Kindle app) 1. Turn off page animations via the kindle settings 2. Turn the refresh mode to regal 3. While still in the e-ink center, go to the More Settings menu 4. Turn animation time up to something high like 1500 I do this on my NA3C and I’ve heard this also works on the Go 7
@barbeldetermann9387 Does the white have a flush screen, too? They were said to come with a recessed screen when the white was announced but not ready to ship. I can't find confirmation of how they are finally delivered now that they are available. Thank you!
The flush screen has the extra glass layer on top of the screen. It's more scratch resistant but the text is also not as crisp as on the sunken screen. I also thought the black one was a fingerprint magnet, you can't see any fingerprints on the white one...
You can set the buttons not only as page turning, but manual refresh, so have page turning and refresh setting hold for .5 seconds meaning when turning a page and holding for .5 secs will turn page and refresh at the same time
7:35 I was thinking "Finally someone who addresses the missing space between the buttons!" but I did not expect it to be for that reason. I just miss it because it's the best place to put your thumb for holding the device. I've yet to find a review that adequately addresses just how dark the display is compared to non-colour e-readers. Maybe it's because I bought it as a replacement for my failing SONY Reader PRS-T1 from 2011 but I was surprised to see the screen being even darker than the Pearl screen from over a decade ago. Sure you can use the frontlight to compensate but still.
You, are excellent at this. Most reviews that I watch are too boring, the reviewer often cannot stop straying from the review, and wasting , specifically, my time. You cover the details and don't clutter it up with unnecessary chatter.
The excerpt describes a review of the Boox Go Color 7, a portable 7-inch e-reader with a color e-ink display. It highlights the device's page-turning buttons and battery life. The review also mentions the compromise between battery life and refresh rate due to the absence of Boox Super Refresh technology. Very Good Review, thanks very much!
Im torn between the Black version and the White one. Which do you think is best and good for a comfy reading experience? I feel like the Black one makes the screen pops out more. But White is more aesthetic and feel seamless and paper-like?
Excellent review-thankyou Could you tell me the clarity and sharpness of the print in b/w ebooks as compared to any other ebook reader that is non color?
I ordered mine and am waiting for it to arrive, but the comments don't encourage 🙃 and it's my first e-reader, and it's expensive for me ? Is it really that bad ?
the ghosting isnt an issue at all when reading normal books. if you want to read graphic novels or manga just disable all page turn animations and set it to refresh the screen every page. I use this setup and have no issues. Hope that helped :D
I honestly love my Go Color 7. In this review I had to point out some cons about the product so that people know what they’re getting. But to me the pros outweigh the cons! So I would definitely suggest just testing it out and seeing if it fits your needs 😄
@BrainDiarrhea your username is unique, and thank u. i will do this, and i mainly bought it for books, so that's assuring that there is no ghosting ad you mentioned 😀
@@BrainDiarrhea I have setup such in the Perfect Viewer and Comic Trim software. There are noticeable ghosting. I have found that full refresh works only for the Gallery application. For other software Onyx use optimized speed algorithm which left ghosting.
Small color e-ink (below 7in) is kind a mimic to me, there are not a lot of color contents and with text book, all you need is black&white screen. Color makes e-ink looks worst in contrast and clarity, you have to turn the light on for the same quality as b&w with no light so It'll reduce battery and less pleasure to your eyes.
I look for a E reader without that dela you know? The color one is my dream. I see the tab mini C have a smoth scrolling. Do you know one have that, Android and more cheap as possible? The color is not necessary for me.
To be more specific: all Kaleido 3 e-readers have 150 PPI for colours which is used by every current colour e-reader model except for the Bigme Galy, which uses the E Ink Gallery™ 3 display at 300 PPI (which has horribly slow page-turn times due to multiple refreshes needed) and the newly released HANNspree HannsNote 2 which has a reflective LCD at 200 PPI as display and bad battery life, sadly.
@havefunbesafe You are comparing apples with pears. E-ink devices are dedicated ebook devices. They are for people who read books and do not want the eyestrain that comes with a backlit ipad screen. If you like your ipad best, even though it does not sound as if you ever tried an ereader, goid for you. It just doesn't mean anything other than what you prefer is unnecessary.
Best video ive seen on this product. You answered every single question i had, including specific settings on the refresh rates. Thank you!!

This actually works quite well! Practically no ghosting in the Kindle App... I love the Go Color 7 (have it in white❤).

@MsJacobowski the white one has a sunken screen. Like the Leaf 2 had.
What is the benefit of recessed skin? Is there any diff bet white and black one? Which one will be better? I am planning to get one.

I love it! I have this one and the tab mini C but the color go is my everyday e-reader
Which one has better resolution and display?

neon reader has a deep refresh mode so no ghosting reading comics

Do you prefer this over the bigme B751c?

I just returned one. I really wanted to like it. But the lack of contrast and the blacks just didn't seem dark enough.
This is why I got the page instead. It's still on the way. Hopefully it comes soon.
But can adjust contrast of colours, etc, did you try to adjust contrast on it as there is a contrast colour and contrast in general also
Is that circle in the page down to the right go away?

Do you have a video of tutorial about the settings? I'm getting frustrated

How do you get the page turn buttons to work with the Kobo app?
Wish they would sell the white version…
You posted that like one week before they started selling it.

@@ittybittyissy He said *the* white version - the one that was promised from the start. They just didn't specify when it would be available.

Does it have the option to highlight in color as well?
Yes it does
Does it have playebook
BSR also slows performance
How is reading the Bible app on it?

I think this would be nice if the iPad was never invented.

10 min long no chapters... i'm gone.
Are there more downsides other than the ghosting effect? Just ordered mine due to the versatility of different ebook platforms🥸
