It was already hard enough to get real sugar, now we are all going to just be stuck with beet sugar. Of course we are, everything is going to the dogs.
It HAS to be political because it would be pip-squeaks to import refined sugar from Malaysia, Cuba, Fiji and Queensland to fill the USA's short-fall. Even the Chelsea Sugar refinery in Auckland should be able to supply the odd ship-load.

A shame the plant went up in fire. Yesteray chocolate plant blew up in Pennsylvania. Two are dead and others injured. So sad.

Manufacturers just said the price of soda would increase because of the increase in price of commodities. Does anyone think this is an accident?
