I never drove at pfi but i have days worth of experience in my pc and when i tried to not hit the kerb under the bridge i lost around 5 hundreths so its best if you hit it since it also gives you more space on entry i believe but downside is kerb is unstable so you need to control it well thats what it is in kart racing pro so idk about irl
