Few people will be able to drop the points for a Challenger squadron. I think using it as an attachment as you plan to do is going to be much more common. Good idea!
@@FogofWar Also, thematically, I like to idea of a small number of these new bits of kit arriving at the front line. I have painted mine plain green as if they were rushed out without being fully prepared.
I believe they only did modern British tank commanders in plastic as part of the Scorpion frame...not standalone. The old Chieftains came with resin crew too.
That looked great. I hope you enjoy it and it gets you started with the game. Maybe I should have gone for that just to get tasters of the new kits. But I already have more Chieftains and Lynx than I need. Plus I was seduced by the shiny new box sets... PS. Infantry. You will need infantry. British infantry with lots of Milan AT missiles are hard to shift.
@@FogofWar go for it, there are only 2 of them on there. Give yourself options for stillbrew and not stilbrew, or start an middle eastern force. Infantry though, I agree I need some. It seems we are stuck with metal for team yankee for a while. I just don't fancy painting the camo pattern. I will though, but might get the easier armies done first.
Nice video as usual, BF customer support is really good, i got an blister of an pz-IIIM with two right tracks and they send my the left one in a moment.
For some reason I had a mental image of you trying to blow down the Challenger gun tube. Very disturbing. But the next wave of releases BF talked about has lots of AT23-25 stuff coming. I need to get these on the table as soon as possible to get some wins up before all the other stuff comes out!
Looks like a brilliant kit, I can't wait for them to release them as individual sprues so I can paint one up as the tank that made that long shot in the Gulf War.
Just in time, my British starter set arrived yesterday and I've spent the past day assembling green plastic and was confused by some of the Challenger components.
Yep. I had the script mostly written months ago, but my BF order never arrived and it took a while to secure more to do the build and finish the review. But it’s done now.
German players: rolling their eyes at the cost of challengers because of how much leopards cost.
Leopard 2a5: hold my schnapps
I snorted when I read this. The cost will be eye-watering.
Nice kit. I built mine as ROMOR version. Keeping them as just 5 tanks in my army with the bulk of my tanks as Chieftains.

I'll dig out my boxes of Chieftains (still got a few unbuilt ones) and check. You might very well be right. I may have mis-remembered.
Another great review. I am waiting for my order of the big box starter army.

BF customer service really are a significant asset for the company. I have always found them very helpful.
Good review, thanks for uploading.
Thanks for watching! Glad you found it useful.
Great review with a lot of useful information. Thanks for sharing this.
Glad it was helpful!
Looking forward to blowing these up :D

I am building a box of these right now for my "Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn" custom Battlegroup: Cold War scenario.
Good luck with those. It's a fun kit.

Given how many points they take to get on the table, quite a few British players might have spares out of a box of 5 they might trade you... :-)
+1 good customer support from BF in the US, fantastic!
Good to hear the US has great customer service support as well. They really do this well.
A good comprehensive review. A shame they never made a regular glue on part for those smoke launchers, would of saved them looking so smooshed.
Yes. I guess the tradeoff was a more complex build with more small parts. These are wargaming kits, so it was probably the right call.

235,000,000 ASD. I nearly choked, thanks!
The old Pacific Peso. Not a strong currency.
At last!
