Here's where fans can have power...complain to your British MP's in Parliament have a motion to pass a bill to be signed into law to force investors/owners mandatory investment (set a minimum/maximum amount) if that is not adhered to there will be strict penalties/fines. Also provision of each British/UK Football club must be in the public stock market/shares to facilitate 50% fan ownership (similar to Germany in the Bundesleague). If this is done it would cause American Capitalist oligarchs to either put up or shut up (sell) since a majority of them only see the club as a cash cow and not really investing into the communities of the respective football club arena. Do that and there is a chance, hell if Kier Starmer does it he has my vote, lol (unless he's already in bed with these capitalist owners)
I don't buy the 'PR' angle on Watkins. If the club were simply looking for optics for the fans, then why choose to 'not sign' Watkins, over 'not signing' a much better player like Isak, for example
