I had a friend in high school with a very similar story except after he went to New York he did some ads but never became famous, and now he cuts grass again. Sometimes when you watch these interviews it makes it feel like success is inevitable, but it’s not. We just only hear from the ones who made it.
I know a lot of successful guys that cut grass or do similar work and I know a lot of "successful" people with bullshit jobs like modeling or acting that are broke most of the year and always struggling to the next check.
Success is the exception, but ya gotta try.
A one time soap operas were where the model-like women and men went to spin their wheels for a few years and then fade away.

probably because he made it really young so he still got to have this kind of rich kid image because he was already rich when he was just 23,24,25.
Probably because he really is very smart. A lot of his and MK's interviews mention his intelligence and what he's involved in outside of acting. He's got a lot of business ventures going.

His Dad was probably just an independent contractor, he tried to make it sound more prestigious. Very hard work for mediocre pay with no benefits. It’s a street fight if the economy is weak.

I have to say. In my mind, I always saw him as in That's 70 show a bit typecasted in my head as dimwitted character. Seeing that he came from a solid working background changes my view of him a bit. Although some of those jobs don't suck that much. Maybe the deer skinning job. :p

Howard interviews well. People speak honestly without falling back on ideas they had before the interview. You either get it or dont
