    So glad you're going down the beatbox rabbit hole! Try some D-Low battles: D-Low vs Colaps, D-low vs B-Art, etc.
    Btw, King Inertia used way more than 3 sounds. He's got multiple basses, multiple snares, lots of transition sounds ... really slow it down and you'll hear so much more. Plus, there's quality of sound. Nobody has KI's quality of inward bass

      Yes, D-Low!!! You paused on him at 4:42.

    Helium wasn't off beat, he was doing difficult poly rythms.

      I think thats where he lost the battle honenstly, its difficult but didnt have good transition and wasnt a good swing on it.

      @@MrOmfgtacos I agree with this but I think the move was largely for the judges more than the crowd. It takes a certain level of technical prowess that judge level beatboxers can definitely appreciate and understand. I had to listen to that section probably a dozen times or more before I stopped feeling like it was off rhythm. Drum roll Tony's reaction on this battle shows that he was the most impressed by that section out of the entire thing.

    You should try reacting to dlows breakdowns of the battles and how he judges them. He explain in massively great detail his thought processes, what he was feeling why I scored one way or the other on technicality, style, timing etc there's a lot that goes into it and dlow is super analytical he hears and sees a lot and takes it all into consideration when he judges or battles

    Helium it's one of the most technical and on beat/on time beatboxer of the scene. It's not always easy to hear it.

    Here for you and your algorithm
    For what it's worth King Inertia won that for me, I don't know sh!t, but for sound and fluidity, he killed it. Helium seemed to be showcasing, which is fine but I'm with you the transitioning, he lost it.

    when you know beatboxing you realise king inertia has a tendency of repeating his beats , and your choice was correct on the first round, youll notice helium waving his arm to say we heard it already, beatbox is my thang

    • @nonstopqs4188
      @nonstopqs4188 10 месяцев назад +2

      when you REALLY know beatboxing, you realize a majority of beatboxers repeat beats. that's part of it. you make routines that you can perform. and most beatboxers end up using those routines at different events, different battles, etc. everyone has their own twang, if you wanna put it that way. sometimes they'll change up a beat or something. the battle culture is a bit out of wack for always wanting people to only bring new things lol

    • @Indianatanner
      @Indianatanner 10 месяцев назад

      @@nonstopqs4188 yes they repeat beats but as you know if you know beatboxing there’s repeating a beat and doing the same routine in a battle don’t fly.. when beatboxing in battles you have to change it up.. and in a lot of beatboxers opinions the reason inertia didn’t win the whole thing is because the routines that got him first place through eliminations, got repeated, once everyone has heard them amazing routines he couldn’t repeat them without people noticing, also the inertia style is very good but after watching him for a few rounds it becomes very similar and not as technical as the other guys.. inertia is a total goat in his style and I absolutely love his style. But in a big battle situation that requires so many rounds from eliminations to battles he can’t help sound similar in each battle .. thus I stand by what I said before.. I’m not new to beatboxing or the battles

    • @nonstopqs4188
      @nonstopqs4188 10 месяцев назад +1

      @Indianatanner yes, repeating a beat and doing the same routine doesn't fly. inertia did not do this in this competition. some of the drops were similar, although not the exact same. that similarity is what cost him points, but he didn't repeat. in fact, in the battle where he lost against colaps, I'd say that was one of his better performances at gbb that year, where he brought up some techniques he hadn't used. he just got outmatched by colaps' clean ass technicality. by the end of your comment where you're saying he sounds SIMILAR, I agree. I just had a thing against the initial wording of saying it was the SAME rounds or routines, when that was in fact not the case. have a good day

    • @Indianatanner
      @Indianatanner 10 месяцев назад

      @@nonstopqs4188 he was doing the same technics over n over, its not just about the routines, its all well and good changing the routine but if all you do is inward bass in slightly diff ways then yes its gets very same same, lol like u say we can agree thats prob why he didnt win the whole thing. u just wanted to try and prove a point,, its well known that inertia is repetitive and u still wanted to make a point out of nothing,, i stand by my initial comment. helium was waving at a certain part towards inertia as we had already heard the same technic/routine lol goodbye

    • @nonstopqs4188
      @nonstopqs4188 10 месяцев назад

      @Indianatanner helium was doing that because obviously he wanted to win, lots of people do gestures in battles, even if at times they're not accurate. it's seen everywhere. we can agree to disagree. inertia had some similar drops during the gbb but that's it. and by, "well known," I've only ever seen it be fully said by people I've never seen at any type of beatboxing event. he's got some routines he uses often, but imo, that doesn't make him repetitive. good thing beatboxing is subjective, means we don't all have to agree 🤷🏽also, it's technique. I stand by my comments as well, good bye

    This battle is crazy, and I’m so glad you reacted to it. Might be seeing this a day late, but oh well XD .
    Since you guys like the little breakdowns I do, I’m going to be continuing the trend. If I get anything wrong or you disagree with me, feel free to give your thoughts. Here we go!
    3:15 - “Nah he can go” I love that for some reason XD . Always go second.
    4:41 - It’s common to wonder how beatboxers can do so many sounds at once. Truth is; they really can’t. If they break down certain sounds, they could probably get 3. The trick is in the transition between sounds. A lot of beatboxers will use sounds that naturally position themselves to go into the next sound. They’re not exactly doing it at the same time. Quick little clarification.
    6:02 - Love the honesty Lmao. I think it would be best to not exactly focus on the amount of sounds being produced at once and start trying to recognize the sounds they ARE doing. In Helium’s case, a bunch of fast shit XD .
    8:16 - Instant stank face every time.
    9:18 - I’m surprised that this was your first thought. People tend to like Inertia’s rounds better because its easier to listen to. Going to come back to the ‘“don’t exactly focus on the number of sounds” at once’ thing for a second to say that Inertia’s bass variations are crazy. Helium’s technicality is phenomenal as well, but Inertia does hit a certain level of technicality - just in a different way. Also glad that you picked up that little jab and counter on Inertia’s end when Helium tested him.
    10:38 - Best counter of the event. Period. Helium’s inward matched the power of Inertia’s. It doesn’t feel like it in this video, but it felt like that live.
    11:25 - Another thing I’m so happy you brought up. A lot of people here like to argue that “Helium is perfectly in time. Just listen closely.” I have listened closely. And I have not changed my mind one bit. Helium’s mis-matched rhythms are just so off-kilter (notice how I didn’t say off-beat) it breaks the flow. THAT is the singular thing I felt held Helium back in this battle.
    12:30 Ah, I love this part. Helium’s speed goes crazy.
    13:45 - Vibration bass go brr.
    15:05 - Poly Inward go brr. Also good to know that Inertia’s technicality is his control over these types of sounds. As you learn more, you’ll be able to say “oh. That’s a liproll. That’s Vibration Bass. That’s Alien Bass.” etc. You’ll also learn how difficult some of these sounds are. The difficulty and control of Inertia’s basses are a part of his technicality. The downside to this is these techniques lose their luster after a while. People say that “Inertia is repetitive” and, while I don’t necessarily agree with them, I do agree that he loses his energy in the late game.
    16:35 - Interesting analysis, lmao.
    Really close battle. Check out D-Low’s analysis on it. He was one of the judges at this event, and gives his full breakdown of his thoughts, analytics, etc. Cheers!

    Im a simple man, i see a beatbox or loopstation reaction, and i like and subsbrice. No but honestly, loved your reaction! Really hope u go down the beatbox/loopstation rabbit hole, no matter what i have subscribed t ofollow you.
    Loopstation is the 2nd biggest category besides solo beatboxing at the gbb(the even the battle were from) Loopstation is basically beatboxing while dj'ing, putting on effects whille using your voice og triggering the sounds with your voice. You should watch Saro vs MB14 which i believe is swissbeatbox most viewed beatbox video of all time, it gives a good introduction to the loopstation scene besides being one of the best battles in the scene of all time
