Interesting plot, good acting, excellent cinematizing. A nice Saturday afternoon movie!
People make too big of deal about someone getting the name or description of the movie wrong. I doubt they do it on purpose. I enjoy the movie for what it is. I really liked this one! Plots and sub-plots, interesting characters, good acting, beautiful music. Sometimes you just have to laugh, e.g. the heroine jumping from boat, to a pier, to climbing about a cargo ship....all in a dress and high heels! Isn't that the point of movies....to entertain & let your imagination run free? THANK YOU for posting!
Nobody's perfect. I just made that up. 😊
Being a big fan of the "Oldies" songs from the late 50s and early 60s, I immediately recognized the tune "You Belong to Me." It was recorded by multiple big name artists, but the one I remember best was the one sung by The Duprees, which was a big hit back in 1958.
Yes! I was just coming to post the same. I love Jo Stafford's original rendition (she wrote the song) but also the Duprees' wonderful version as well. That is the sign of a good song - it can be adapted to other genres and still be great.
This is a great movie. Thanks!
Tony Curtis was a good actor.
And g good looking in his younger days.
I would say he was a fair actor but definitely very handsome.
*Bernard Schwartz
Tony Curtis had bedroom eyes that's what they used to call Them 🥰
Great decors and her wardrobe is fabulous.
Pretty good movie! Glad I watched it 😃 I'm not familiar with Tony Curtis's work. Except for "Some like It Hot" and "The Boston Strangler." He's pretty good 👍😊
Good intriguing movie, WRONG DESCRIPTION!
Exceptionally high rated great story ❤❤❤
I really think from my Soul those days 😢were better than these days, no Internet, no Mobile Phone, no bitter taste in life whether married or not, Beautiful Cars, Environmental Situations not Bad than today and Values for everything everyone etc. etc.

The guy following him played the secretary on the TV series millionaire !!!
I loved that show! ❤
The ubiquitous cigarette hanging out of all actors mouths. During this era due to tobacco companies spreading the word of sponsorship!

Your description doesn't match the movie!! I haven't seen one Dr. Let alone 3 described in the entire movie. Get it right or don't post it. It's aggravating to the reader n watcher!!!
thank you, liz. does anyone know what the described film is?
Tis human to error, and divine to forgive.
Builds character
@@shadowlouise The titles are correct onscreen, just not in the written description. It's "Forbidden" with Tony Curtis and Joanne Dru, 1953.
Macao! Is that where cacao cacomes from?
360 is not HD
In the period after WW2 the studio started faltering between the Red Scare and TV and the old group of actors like Cooper, Gable & Robert Taylor getting older. Many of the stars in the 30’s and 40’s began on the stage or vaudeville (i.e.Gary Grant). Tony Curtis probably was a model or went in the studio system untrained. Like Rock Hudson. With experience they became better actors. Especially Curtis.

Just like a cheap version of "Gilda" :-( .... And Joanne Dru - a decent actress but never on the level of the lovely and unique Rita Hayworth - leaves the doubt why a guy is chasing her around the world because of being in love with her.....????
I think she was extremely beautiful, and she and Tony Curtis sure seemed to be hopelessly in love with each other.

Horrible acting
I think that’s a bit overstated. Granted it’s not Bogey or Bette Davis. Curtis became more accomplished with experience. Dru was a pretty face never had acting chops. By 53 Hollywood was in serious decline between TV and the House Unamerican activities. Quality went down as the Studio System collapsed. The Hayes code was stymied creativity from 35 forward. As Stephen Ambrose said” the fifties were boring because that’s exactly what Ike wanted”.
I think the pace of it very much affected how the acting seemed....a bit slower might have been better. I think the girl acted well for the part, and also that Tony Curtis got better with more experience.
