- HOT TUB Jet Leak Repair | HOT TUB Leaking Behind the Jet
In this video, I'm going to show you how to repair a hot tub jet body leak. This is a very common problem and it's usually caused by a worn out O-ring. You'll need to remove the old O-ring and replace it with waterproof silicone. Silicone we use for our hot tub jet leaks will be linked in the description below.

I have a few old leaking Waterway polystorm jet bodies similar to that one. If there is an existing gasket in ok condition, is it best to silicone with the gasket? Or should I just get rid of the gasket and use Silicone instead?

Attempting to fix leaking jet(s) from my Emerald Spa and its very difficult to loosen spa nut with any wrench due to crowd of hoses and space. Is it possible to seal around jet from inside spa shell? Thanks
I hear ya. Do what you have to do. I've done it that way and I don't like it.
My problem is that there is foam insulation covering the entire inside, so the hardest part is finding and getting to the leak (probably by tearing out the foam?) and then replacing the insulation afterwards.
Yep. Start digging. Just replace with Rockwool insulation.
I have an Artesian South Seas Spa that is leaking. The jets have gaskets on the inside of the tub, where I think it is leaking from. Is this repair as simple as removing the jets and replacing the gasket?
In this video no gasket was replaced. To remove and replace a jet body gasket, you will have to cut out the plumbing. This is the easiest way of stopping a jet leak.
Is that a Saratoga Hot Tub?
Not sure
What if the jet is on a fixed panel side ?
Meaning it's a beachcomber hot tub? Might have to break the side off.
@@VIPPoolsandSpas it is a hot springs Sovereign II , about 9 yrs old
I can only see the panel to access motor is removable
In Canada, Hot Springs is a Pioneer Pools hot tub and have never worked on that hot springs model. I'm going to assume that somehow the corners come off and the side panels are going to be magneted on.
Will hot tub leak if jet is off (the inside piece)
It could
If the old gasket is ripped/no good, is it better to replace the gasket with a new one, or is it OK to clean it all off and use a good silicone in place of it? I ask because my jets are glue in hose connections. I order to replace the gaskets I would have to remove all the lines going to the jet to get the new gasket on the jet.
@@heidirae4030 In the video I just loosen the back nut and apply the silicone. If the gasket brakes or is cracked, remove it and use the silicone. Make sure the silicone is 100% waterproof. I do have a link in the video description.

If the gasket is still in good shape, just leave the gasket there. Don't over tighten or the gasket will slide out on its own.
