Malaysia has 2 players who are head and shoulders compared to the other 2. They also lacked a big who can guard the bigger players from other teams. The loss against NZ was a good example.

I get it most of the comment was given prop Malaysian player due lack of big man support their rotation which is really exhausted to guard bigger and solid player on offensive and defensive formation. But what I don't understand is Malaysia should have win due to their first offensive attempt, they play with strategic which is beautiful to watch until the 4th possession everything break apart basically chugging 3pt line. Should have play with your size instead playing physical with them. So many unnecessary movement in offensive, should have stay composure and drive attack them with right lane. So many flaw when they drive to the basket. Should have run inverted pick on roll since Qatar big man seem big and slow then drive to the basket. Malaysia got the advantage.
Number 12 need to do more on weight training. Hopefully Malaysia can get an improvement in defense.

Good job Malaysia, finally a good point guard. This Mei Mei as usual fades off for important games like all the previous editions. TF still has really poor dribble, not skilful.. need to find a better replacement

Malaysia is doing pretty well, but from a national basketball team that result is pretty bad, there’s a reason why free throw is free and they missed all 3 of them…. The skills are improving but the mentality are still pretty weak.
