Been a professional artist for a decade and can confirm there are so many highs and lows that come with it. I, like you, feel called to create and share my story in order to inspire others and even be a light in spaces that a believer may not entertain. I was literally right where you were until yesterday when a financial blessing finally came and I can now pay off my debts and be able to afford painting projects for future art shows. This path is not for the weak, but what has been the most consistent thing has been the Lord himself. He has always showed up (and showed out) 👏🏽 every 👏🏽 single 👏🏽 season. What I tell myself when I forget all that God has done and how far I’ve come is “you are so much farther than you started out.” Keep going. Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”

I definitely received the message as an artist, woman, and human in general. I haven’t created in months. I’ve been extremely frustrated in my walk as well. The moment things are going somewhat well/opportunities come, here comes a million other trials… on top of being a single mother and meeting deadlines at work. It’s always something. Thank you for your honesty. I really empathize with your situation, I'm also an artist and starting out, after recently quitting my retail job. It's extremely scary and it feels that no matter how much planning goes into your next steps there is always the guarantee of s**t hitting the fan at any time. But I also believe if the "art" desire is there than the will and strength to push through hardship is also present. The fact that you don't want to stop even though you're exhausted is proof of that. Something in you wants to live and God never gives life to anything (even an idea) if it is not meant to be. I hope you get through everything you're going through, your art is absolutely fantastic and it's really encouraging to be aware of the reality: It's excruciatingly hard but it's not impossible and it is so worth it in the end. I know exactly how you feel. I’m an artistic painter and I haven’t felt as creative as I did before I lost my son 5 years ago. My latest paintings have been commissions for friends, who I charged far less than I should’ve. I’m so glad I came across your video dear Sister. Life’s challenges have prevented me from moving forward in my art career, and now I’m a full time Amazon employee, without hardly any time to paint at all 😞. I’m so grateful for your vulnerability! Entrepreneurship is such a tough journey, especially as an artist. I really relate to your story-after COVID, the struggle hit me hard too, and I ended up going back to my 9-5 full-time. It took a lot away from my art, and I’m just now getting back into creating again. Stay strong, sis-your breakthrough is on its way!

i pray that you get the peace that you’re looking for. earlier this year, my main income was doordash, pulling 100+ hours but had a desire (that i eventually lost and gained again) to create art and do just that for my income. for so long i felt like i was called to be an artist, but you’re called to be faithful, obedient and a creator of disciples. outside looking in, it seems like the desire to keep pursuing an art career isn’t there, but neither is the will to rest and find something secure to give you peace. while long suffering is apart of the fruit of the spirit, it doesn’t just mean only suffering to endure all that comes with trying to pursue your desires, but it also comes with letting them go for a while, recentering yourself, and finding your way back with a better outlook. until you catch up on what you need to and start building the foundation of your business all over again, it will be a repeating cycle if catching up and falling short and feeling hopeless in the mist. you CAN do this without a marketing manager, assistant or paid ads. it’s simply time to grind it out and learn how to do it yourself (not insinuating that you haven’t). just because you don’t make it your main source of income doesn’t mean you’ll complete fall off and give up altogether. no we don’t wanna feed someone else’s dream, but a steady paycheck will help you beyond money. it’ll bring you better rest, more peace, and ACTUAL freedom with your work so you don’t feel the need to have everything you create be monetized. im rooting and praying for you. i relate to your story so much and am on the other side of the long suffering. you got this!
Friend I resonated with everything you stated in this video, it’s comforting to see a fellow warrior prevail for God’s kingdom. This year I decided to stop resisting with what He was telling me to do. In my situation I believe the Lord’s hand wasn’t directly on the things I had been wanting/pursuing anymore. And although I seen it produce fruit to some degree He was calling for a transition into new territories that wasn’t based on my own efforts. So I completely stopped everything…. Closed the website, stop selling artwork, everything came to a halt. Then He redirected me to a temporary part time position working at a nonprofit art organization with children. Sounds on the contrary, but what I can say is it stoped the distractions while also allowing me to gain clarity for the more He is calling for. 6 months later He gave me a new blueprint that is in a elevation for His kingdom specifically in the art world. Reflect on what He’s calling you to do, most likely He already told you.🦋.

Back in September I had to let go of my full time job to stay home with my kids and I'm trying to get back into painting, i truly appreciate your transparency, its a struggle but i believe that you are truly gifted and I have immediately connected with you. This season has been hard for artist across the board. It is not that people don’t want to buy art, but the condition of our economy and the uncertainty in our times makes people more cautious to spend the $. I realize that you don’t feel you are producing enough fruit, but be encouraged in knowing your fruit is also in the lives transformed through the art you create and your ministry behind it. As you obey, God’s kingdom expands at his time and to people you may never know he has impacted through you. Don’t attach fruit to $’s but to lives transformed for the kingdom. Your transparency is a truth people need to hear. Social media has glorified the art profession so much that people looking from the outside become discouraged by their own artistic growth not knowing that the people they admire, that have a huge presence and following on social media are struggling to make ends meet while pursuing their art careers. It is truth. Just like any small business, the hours of work don’t always translate equally in income. Even if you decide for a part-time job your ministry can still thrive and succeed. If it doesn’t work you can always quit. I love your videos. ❤

Thank you for that prayer, dear sweet sister in Christ! God led me to your channel a few weeks ago. Such an encouragement! A lot of us are struggling out here. My spirit has been down as well. God gave me a verse this morning that someone impressed on my heart as a child, Phil 4:6-8; it states to “Be careful for nothing,” meaning don’t worry but to pray and with thanksgiving, make your requests know to Him. I know it’s hard, I struggle with this too, but in times like these I think of the Saints that came before us, Job and Joseph. How Job lost everything and still never turned his back from God and God restored him by multiples and Joseph; Betrayed by his brothers, how long was he in bondage to the Egyptians? Yet God gave him increase, wrongfully accused and thrown in jail but restored, becoming second in command to Pharaoh, all for the protection of His people. What an Awesome God we serve! We don’t know what God is doing but we know it is for our good and for His Kingdom! God bless sister. God is with you 🕊️

Push through girl. I’ve been out here struggling 35 or more years. To give up now I don’t know. I can’t see wasting all that time and was unemployed for eight years God sustain me for eight years so why can’t he continue this sustaining? so what I thought was kearse was really a blessing. I think that I was close on those eight years unemployed, but because I left God out of it, he just gave me what I needed. I never stop believing I just now believe more, but I also believe in him more and I’m putting him in it because I know more now.
I live the same thing yestarday I say to God I want let it go. It painful I did’nt have anything to eat and I’ m single mom. But today I here stay in Faith can’t let that staff. The hard is I’ m not any client. Zero client, but can’t stop. To nigth I just cried and when I ask to holy Ghost it give me the song living Hope . I cry but now I thought he is on my side I can’t be frustrated to him but I need to pray I take my financialy back. He says all thing I do is bless so I declare it and I will do it. Sorry if my write is no good enough, I Hope it will be okay to read.

And in those times if abundance we have to prepare for the leaner times that Do come. I have experienced this myself. I was never Rolling like you, with $5,000 to $19,000 months, but when I had my store & even before I was making more money than I ever had before after my friend, a fellow eater challenged me to take it more seriously & be consistent. She was like an actual coach. & I DID. But often Spirit will Test you with $$ or the lack there of. I was able to see, in lean times, how I squandered $$$ thinking it would ALWAYS be there. I blew $$ instead of saving, strategizing & investing. Maybe this is a time to reexamine your relationship with $$$ & needs vs. wants. I know I'm just leaving such a time period myself. I had to face the Truth about myself & my spending habits & CHANGE. Thanku for your content!😄

Hey Briyona, fellow Houston Fine Art Painter here! MY biggest advice: try to make another RUclips channel centered on something ELSE you love. For instance- Beauty, Sports, Commentary, Essays, etc. Unfortunately artists on RUclips are BARELY pushed unless they make "Tiktok Art". You can have a part time job, but then use that money to pay for your bills now until your next channel pops off. You could also become more of a "Tiktok artist", and get sponsorships that way. OR, you can post daily art vlogs DAILY. Like post vlogs every single day on this channel or every other day- I would WATCH! Finally, my last advice- diversify. Own an art business and do another small business on top of it. Unfortunately the economy is rough right now and people aren't paying for art as much. Being a business owner is so so so much work and God is proud of you for pushing through.
I was working but I felt led to quit the job was no longer fulfilling me, I felt it in my spirit to leave. So I did, I’m a single mom. I quit with a baby. I’ve been unemployed for 17-18mo. I create abstract art. I want to pursue my art. My Instagram page is small. People tell me to post. To create. Sell my work. I’m scared. I’m nervous, I let my anxiety and fear stop me. I am struggling. I do want to just give up. I have to take care of me and my son. I’ve been praying so much about work to take off, for me to have courage to show my work. It is a struggle. Everything you’ve said in this video I have also felt. I’m tired. I’m waiting, I don’t know what’s going on.

The fact that you don't want to stop even though you're exhausted is proof of that. Something in you wants to live and God never gives life to anything (even an idea) if it is not meant to be. I know exactly how you feel. I’m an artistic painter and I haven’t felt as creative as I did before I lost my son 5 years ago. My latest paintings have been commissions for friends, who I charged far less than I should’ve. I’m so glad I came across your video dear Sister. Life’s challenges have prevented me from moving forward in my art career, and now I’m a full time Amazon employee, without hardly any time to paint at all 😞. i pray that you get the peace that you’re looking for. earlier this year, my main income was doordash, pulling 100+ hours but had a desire (that i eventually lost and gained again) to create art and do just that for my income. for so long i felt like i was called to be an artist, but you’re called to be faithful, obedient and a creator of disciples. outside looking in, it seems like the desire to keep pursuing an art career isn’t there, but neither is the will to rest and find something secure to give you peace. while long suffering is apart of the fruit of the spirit, it doesn’t just mean only suffering to endure all that comes with trying to pursue your desires, but it also comes with letting them go for a while, recentering yourself, and finding your way back with a better outlook. until you catch up on what you need to and start building the foundation of your business all over again, it will be a repeating cycle if catching up and falling short and feeling hopeless in the mist. you CAN do this without a marketing manager, assistant or paid ads. it’s simply time to grind it out and learn how to do it yourself (not insinuating that you haven’t). just because you don’t make it your main source of income doesn’t mean you’ll complete fall off and give up altogether. no we don’t wanna feed someone else’s dream, but a steady paycheck will help you beyond money. it’ll bring you better rest, more peace, and ACTUAL freedom with your work so you don’t feel the need to have everything you create be monetized. im rooting and praying for you. i relate to your story so much and am on the other side of the long suffering. you got this!
Friend I resonated with everything you stated in this video, it’s comforting to see a fellow warrior prevail for God’s kingdom. This year I decided to stop resisting with what He was telling me to do. In my situation I believe the Lord’s hand wasn’t directly on the things I had been wanting/pursuing anymore. And although I seen it produce fruit to some degree He was calling for a transition into new territories that wasn’t based on my own efforts. So I completely stopped everything…. Closed the website, stop selling artwork, everything came to a halt. Then He redirected me to a temporary part time position working at a nonprofit art organization with children. Sounds on the contrary, but what I can say is it stoped the distractions while also allowing me to gain clarity for the more He is calling for. 6 months later He gave me a new blueprint that is in a elevation for His kingdom specifically in the art world. Reflect on what He’s calling you to do, most likely He already told you.🦋.

This season has been hard for artist across the board. It is not that people don’t want to buy art, but the condition of our economy and the uncertainty in our times makes people more cautious to spend the $. I realize that you don’t feel you are producing enough fruit, but be encouraged in knowing your fruit is also in the lives transformed through the art you create and your ministry behind it. As you obey, God’s kingdom expands at his time and to people you may never know he has impacted through you. Don’t attach fruit to $’s but to lives transformed for the kingdom. Your transparency is a truth people need to hear. Social media has glorified the art profession so much that people looking from the outside become discouraged by their own artistic growth not knowing that the people they admire, that have a huge presence and following on social media are struggling to make ends meet while pursuing their art careers. It is truth. Just like any small business, the hours of work don’t always translate equally in income. Even if you decide for a part-time job your ministry can still thrive and succeed. If it doesn’t work you can always quit. I love your videos. ❤

Thank you for that prayer, dear sweet sister in Christ! God led me to your channel a few weeks ago. Such an encouragement! A lot of us are struggling out here. My spirit has been down as well. God gave me a verse this morning that someone impressed on my heart as a child, Phil 4:6-8; it states to “Be careful for nothing,” meaning don’t worry but to pray and with thanksgiving, make your requests know to Him. I know it’s hard, I struggle with this too, but in times like these I think of the Saints that came before us, Job and Joseph. How Job lost everything and still never turned his back from God and God restored him by multiples and Joseph; Betrayed by his brothers, how long was he in bondage to the Egyptians? Yet God gave him increase, wrongfully accused and thrown in jail but restored, becoming second in command to Pharaoh, all for the protection of His people. What an Awesome God we serve! We don’t know what God is doing but we know it is for our good and for His Kingdom! God bless sister. God is with you 🕊️

Push through girl. I’ve been out here struggling 35 or more years. To give up now I don’t know. I can’t see wasting all that time and was unemployed for eight years God sustain me for eight years so why can’t he continue this sustaining? so what I thought was kearse was really a blessing. I think that I was close on those eight years unemployed, but because I left God out of it, he just gave me what I needed. I never stop believing I just now believe more, but I also believe in him more and I’m putting him in it because I know more now.
I live the same thing yestarday I say to God I want let it go. It painful I did’nt have anything to eat and I’ m single mom. But today I here stay in Faith can’t let that staff. The hard is I’ m not any client. Zero client, but can’t stop. To nigth I just cried and when I ask to holy Ghost it give me the song living Hope . I cry but now I thought he is on my side I can’t be frustrated to him but I need to pray I take my financialy back. He says all thing I do is bless so I declare it and I will do it. Sorry if my write is no good enough, I Hope it will be okay to read.

I have experienced this myself. I was never Rolling like you, with $5,000 to $19,000 months, but when I had my store & even before I was making more money than I ever had before after my friend, a fellow eater challenged me to take it more seriously & be consistent. She was like an actual coach. & I DID.
But often Spirit will Test you with $$ or the lack there of. I was able to see, in lean times, how I squandered $$$ thinking it would ALWAYS be there. I blew $$ instead of saving, strategizing & investing. Maybe this is a time to reexamine your relationship with $$$ & needs vs. wants. I know I'm just leaving such a time period myself. I had to face the Truth about myself & my spending habits & CHANGE.

Hey Briyona, fellow Houston Fine Art Painter here! MY biggest advice: try to make another RUclips channel centered on something ELSE you love. For instance- Beauty, Sports, Commentary, Essays, etc. Unfortunately artists on RUclips are BARELY pushed unless they make "Tiktok Art". You can have a part time job, but then use that money to pay for your bills now until your next channel pops off. You could also become more of a "Tiktok artist", and get sponsorships that way. OR, you can post daily art vlogs DAILY. Like post vlogs every single day on this channel or every other day- I would WATCH! Finally, my last advice- diversify. Own an art business and do another small business on top of it. Unfortunately the economy is rough right now and people aren't paying for art as much. Being a business owner is so so so much work and God is proud of you for pushing through.
I was working but I felt led to quit the job was no longer fulfilling me, I felt it in my spirit to leave. So I did, I’m a single mom. I quit with a baby. I’ve been unemployed for 17-18mo. I create abstract art. I want to pursue my art. My Instagram page is small. People tell me to post. To create. Sell my work. I’m scared. I’m nervous, I let my anxiety and fear stop me. I am struggling. I do want to just give up. I have to take care of me and my son. I’ve been praying so much about work to take off, for me to have courage to show my work. It is a struggle. Everything you’ve said in this video I have also felt. I’m tired. I’m waiting, I don’t know what’s going on.
