I totally agree with the wobble and bend tolerance idea, there are different learning curves on this rods, I personally like the challenge of having to adapt and make changes on how to use them depending on what lure and technique you are using.
Hi, Victor, I own Abu Garcia Diplomat Nano DNS-602XUL MGS which is a lighter predecessor of Diplomat Nano DPMS-612UL and it is a beautiful rod with burgundy blank and one of my absolute favorites. I am so happy they released new Diplomats and already ordered new tubular thanks to your review.
i remember u from somewhere... haven't seen a comment from u for years. Glad to see u r around. I hate losing my old time subs. This rod still feels very much the same, somehow, but with firm tip now, that makes the whole rod vibrate. U will like it.
@ I am here, no worries. Nice of you to remember me. I have been silently enjoying your videos) Could not resist posting a comment on the Diplomat though
How much money is the Sensalite? I bought a 7’0 St Croix Panfish rod and I think it’s super sensitive for bluegill, crappie, trout, but enough backbone to land big bass… I also have a couple TFO trout panfish rods too…
Thank you for this Video. I've been waiting for more info on this rod. I noticed there's a 602L-ES design for Ester lines. I wonder how that rod Fishes compered to the UL.
I think what is important is that the power will be L instead of UL. ES doesn't make sense to me.. u dont need anything different to fish polyester lines..
In general I prefer the stiffness to the backbone to be relative to the power rating of the rod. UL to ML I like some flex in middle third of the rod, although maybe not quite as much as you. Even with fast action rods I generally like some flex in the backbone. As far as the guides on that rod I don't think that the lower guides are as critical as the top ones. If I get another Ultralight you might have sold me on this one. Your decription of it fits what I would want for my next UL.
The power ratings on the rod usually refer to the top 50% of the rod. The bottom 50 are usually L or even ML, on UL rated rods. I like when the whole rod has a UL rating
Hi Vic is this rod the 1.89 m or 1.92 m? I'm assuming the 1.89 is the solid tip version and the 1.92 is the tubular tip version. Both are the same length and UL action. Before buying can you lmk to make sure I'm buying the same rod as yours thanks..
That is such a beautiful rod. I found one for $280, but I'm still trying to decide if I want to spend that much on a rod. Realistically it's only $45 more than the Yamaga Blanks 67/TZ Nano I was originally considering, but do you think the Yamago would be more versatile? I'll wait for your reply before I make my decision.
Victor, where did you buy this rod? JDM Tackle is sold out and Digitaka does not offer this rod. I found another website by copying and pasting the exact model from your video title, but I've never heard of it and it says "pre-order" only.
yes, its sold out now. Usually by this point of time they get sold out. I started making videos about the rod several weeks ago and some people took the risk and bough it before the review. That said, usually after they sell out the first batch, the retailers order more, and another batch comes out in a few months
@@ifishcatfish So JDM and Digitaka should put you on the payroll as their #1 US sales guy! Fingers crossed I can get my hands one of these! Keep up the good work and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Can you review Shimano finnesse rod like their Cardiff rod series. They have Shimano power X and High power X and I love those in my Expride and Zodias. It makes the rod more crisp but still flex.
I love your reviews , but can you STOP !! , I buy everything you review and my Wife said I can not watch you anymore because I spend to much money on all the fishing stuff you review , Just joking love your channel , keep up the good work , 🤑🤑🤑🤑
I told my girl, that I blame Victor, for my shinieitis disorder & I need to try everything that he recommends if she wants to continue to eat fish. It seems to have worked so far, haha. you only live once so enjoy the things you love.

no adds in the middle of the video.
That will be great for still to slow moving water. Jigs and spoons will do great on it. The hook set will be awesome!
I don’t know what to say except wow & I now want to try this rod, thanks for the review victor. I hope this u/l abu Garcia becomes available in 🇦🇺. 🍻
I'm a St.Croix fan love their rods. Abu Garcia has some nice reels . Good video
Superb once again. I would pick this up based on the handle and the guides alone.

Love Your reviews!
For twitch specialist would you now say:
1) king = abu diplomat
2) eradicator
3) presso ags
as long as u like fast action.. But if u prefer moderate action then u have to flip these.

the exact model is in the title. Look at the letters. Also product link is in description. Get familiar with the other models so u know what is what.
Any opinion on how this rod might be for swimbait, spoons and spinners for stream trout?
i don't like fast action rods for spoons or spinners. Perfectly fine for stream though, but i would fish it with some kind of jigging/twitching

Yamga blanks is softer in the middle and more versatile
@@ifishcatfish OK. I'll go with the Yamaga then. Thanks Victor!

I don't have them. If you have them, mail them to me for two weeks and I will do a review. I cannot buy everything from the market..
Is this your winner for 2024 best ul rod? Any video on that this year?
this is the best rod for twitching. Not for everything
How much and where can I pick one up, Vic.
I am not sure.. Google..
