This is gorgeous and I've never seen the drip in coasters before! 😊 The one thing I'd caution is to make sure you wear nitrile gloves when working with uncured epoxy to reduce the risk of exposure to your bare skin.
I absolutely love your things and the way you explain them! I've only just begun my epoxy journey and you've been so helpful and have such an amazing vibe! Thank you
This is so cute!! It’s so cheerful, reminds me of ice cream sundaes at Leatherby’s. My husband alway’s comments when we go, “ you know, sprinkles are for winners!” I think he’s right!! Very cute.(:
Thank you for the video. I tried this for the first time yesterday and my drips were very long. I like the adding of the glitter when done. I’m gonna try that today since my drips where very long and thin! Thank you!!
I just found your channel today and have already binged several videos. Thanks for making such great content! I really appreciate your encouragement and your demo process. It is easy to follow and very helpful. (Also, great idea for the extra epoxy!!! I will definitely be starting dump coasters.) You've got a new subscriber here. :) Thanks again!
I'm going to try a similar cup, but wanted to clarify, let the epoxy mix s glitter sit for 30m or so, do the drip, then glitter over. Do I need to add cornstarch to the mix to keep it from running, and no turner after doing the drips right, just let it sit upright? ... as always thanks for the great videos and helping us beginners! 🙂
It may still be a bit runny and you may have to flip it up and down to catch the drips. I haven’t used the corn starch but have heard great things about it. Everything sounds correct, I know you got this!! 💜💜
Hey this is super cute! I got the same cup for my daughter and was wanting to do something like this. I’m glad I found your video! I have a question did you flatten or sand down any of the glitter or sprinkles?
Hi one question I hope you reply back🤞... after adding the drips in the cup,do you epoxy one more last time for finish results? Or just leave it as is with 2 coats of epoxy and the drips at the end .. thank you so much I'm obsessed with this look, I have been doing cups for 6 months now and this is a great cup for my niece's 7th bday party ❤💕
You can do it either way. Some like to add one more coat over the drips just for good measure. Some like to leave it as is. Either way is perfectly fine 🤗
Sandy’s Organized Chaos im all in when I try a new cup!! Thank you for the tutorial lol! I have one ready to go and wanted to watch a tutorial to make sure I was gonna do it right 😂 yours was the best !
2 questions- do you mind sharing what the black insert is you are using inside your cups on your turner? and what is that gorgeous vinyl you have by your glitter? (looks holographic)
The black part is a plumbing adapter. I’ll be doing a video soon showing my tumbler wands. The vinyl is a Cricut holographic sparkle vinyl. Thanks for viewing. Make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss out on my future videos.
Hi Sandy! Hope you are doing great. I just ordered the amazing clear cast resin. I see that you do a few white tumblers. Have you experienced yellowing in your work? I’m afraid to do white tumblers and get complaints of yellowing. Thanks
I’ve been using it for a couple of years and I haven’t had any complaints. I know all epoxy may yellow over time. I also have personal tumblers that don’t show signs of yellowing after two years. So I can’t really say that as the years go on if it will yellow or not.
Sandy’s Organized Chaos thanks! I’m obsessed with your tutorials. I’m knew to tumblers and I have been experiencing bumpiness with the epoxy I’m using its a thicker kind of consistency and cures to quickly . It’s frustrating to waste epoxy glitter and time.
IvelisseEP that is very frustrating! When I first started I used to have so many issues as well. I’m glad to give helpful tips to people just starting out to help ease these issues and know you’re not alone. Thank you for watching 🤗
Probably a dumb question but I’m assuming most of the tumblers aren’t dish washer safe? Just started watching - I love resin snd I want to try a tumbler but I’m guessing that means if I give as a gift it will have to be hand washed right?
There are never dumb questions! This is a great question! Always hand wash your custom tumbler. Over time exposing it to extreme heat, like leaving it in a car, or running it through the dishwasher, will cause the epoxy to become brittle, and may even cause discoloration under the epoxy.
Great question! I use Alumilites Amazing Clear Cast, about four hours after it’s been on my turner I apply that second coat of epoxy over the glitter. I let that second coat roll for another three hours and stand it up out of my way until the next day before I add the drip portion. I repeat the process after applying the drip, of letting it spin for three, and standing it up for about eight hours before I add personalization and the final coats. It’s about a two day process. The coaster, after I put the first layer into my mold, I like to let that sit until I’m ready to do the drip on the tumbler so that way I know it’s cured and won’t bend, and I can add drips at the same time as the tumbler.

I try and flatten the sprinkles the best I can. They can get a bit chunky around the top.
Yaaay I did mine for my daughter. She loves it. Thank you!
Awesome tutorial! May I ask where you purchased the sprinkles
Thank you! I got them from Mr Nola’s Glitter: www.mrnolasglitter.com/search?q=sprinkles

Do you spin the tumbler while the drips continue to cure?
After it has set up a bit I do spin it so I don’t have to keep flipping it up and down lol
Where do you get your glitter from?
Have you ever tried a double drip? One on the top and one on the bottom? I’m thinking of trying it tomorrow !
Oh that sounds awesome! I wish we could share photos on here sometimes lol I’d love to see it when you’re done!
Sandy’s Organized Chaos is this your handle on TikTok ?! I can on there ! I’d love to share !!!

Have you created a craft room space video or supplies video?
Not yet. I will be going over my supplies in an upcoming video.
What glitters were purchased.
What do you use to clean up your tools etc when doing epoxy?
I just let the epoxy cure and the peel it all off of my tools.

how long do your tumblers take to set up to where you can do a next step?
Great question! I use Alumilites Amazing Clear Cast, about four hours after it’s been on my turner I apply that second coat of epoxy over the glitter. Where do you get your Coaster mold?
I want to try this but the curing time sounds too long 😂
If I make a ashtray, can you put out a cigarette inside it?
Great question! Putting a cigarette out is no problem. I just wouldn’t let one sit for to long on the epoxy.
