5 hours 30 min perday as evening reward after studying for my finals... 10 days.... Starting my new academic year powerful 😎❤ Thnks Mike and matty.. Love uh both 🎉❤
I needed this more than I can say, I have a playlist of all my favorite/most used CKA videos but having them all in 1 place will make everything so much easier! Thank you Mike and Matty!
you saved me mike and matty , I want to become a doctor , but my grades wouldn't help , and with your amazing videos , I am now the class topper , THANK YOU !!!!!
i am a painter and medical student and totaly related for what you Said about learning in layers i also started to apply this concept recently , i also memorize in layers by group them into categories and subcategories in tree like structure putting in mind not to link too many branchs into one branch . for example : if i have 8 bullet points to remember i group them into 4 points then group the 4 points into only 2 points and when i want to recall it i start to from the main simple concepts (the main branches) down into the peripheral detailed concepts (peripheral branches )
I never thought that I can use ai in such a way in my studies thank you so much for your videos helped me a lot i am at 2nd video and will finish all 5 hrs simultaniously with applying it in my studies thank you so much for this video❤❤❤🔥
thank you for this mike and matty, really helpful content. i appreciate the amount of hardwork you put in for a 5 hours video and the surprising thing here is that it is upto the cajun koi quality that we expect.
I haven't started watching this video yet, but thank you. I just know this is going to help me out immensely. I cannot wait to watch this, I'm going to start right away. Much love and keep going guys. 💙
Hi Mike and Matty... I was wondering if you can please make a short video or a community post on " How to start a new academic year " as my exams got over some time ago and my new grade starts in a week so I wanted to start of my new school year strong and stay consistent.... I would really appreciate that
This video is incredibly helpful! As an ADHD student, I've struggled with focus and motivation. The 5-hour playlist was a game-changer. I managed to complete it in four days and feel more organized now. Thanks for sharing this valuable resource!"
an amazing job should appreciated by millions, i wonder why you guys did not publish this as thesis too, it cold have revolutionaries the whole education system.
I see your point, but I think it all depends on the person. Maybe 5 hours of studying for the student using his current study method / system is unsustainable because of the heavy or difficult course load. This is especially true for students who have to keep up with multiple classes. Maybe this student is looking for ways to implement change in their study system. Maybe they pick out a thing or two during the video and implement the tip and save time and effort compared to their old method. Then gradually, they build better systems for deeper learning and do it in less time than before. For example, maybe when they study, initially they would study everything there is in a chapter and it would be very time consuming, especially across multiple classes. Then he reaches the 'How to know whats on the exam' section on the video. Now, instead of learning everything, he learns the most important concepts. They'll still do well on the exam and will do it in less time compared to before and have more energy in their other courses. Honestly, the student could also watch the video in multiple sessions so I wouldn't say it's counter-productive. Student could learn and implement a few techniques here and get the same amount of retention and mastery in 4 hours compared to his initial 5 hours of studying.
damn its a long vid but its for our benefit so it worth watching but making a vid this long only a legend can do and that too for us thank you so much❤really love ur content ❤
id rather watch 5 hour long study tips compilation which i really needed rather than spending half the time in looking for videos to watch and waste the rest of my time watching random content 😭
the thing is, everybody already knows most of the study tips themselves . im pretty sure you must have heard about the pomodoro technique and stuff. i was in the same place as you, watching study tips vids instead of actually studying. anyway, good luck@@polyflair
Absolutely! Refined sugar and carbohydrates might give you an energy rush but in the long term, leads to energy crashes which results in tiredness and lack of focus. Caffeine late at night is also counter productive because when you drink coffee for studying, you’ll enjoy an energy boost for a few hours, then likely slump back to a worse state than you were before.
Is late for me to actually study and get good grades? Im 2nd year in hight school and I've never get good grades, i haven't even pass 14/20 in results, and today i just get my first semester results and its 11/20 i don't know whats the problem i really want good grades but physiques and maths use some techniques that we studied in the past years and i don't really know how to start or keep it up.
Curious about using AI. Connect: Doesn’t the act of making connections, especially when connecting to background knowledge, what makes the part so meaningful? Challenge: I’ve read that creating your own questions, flashcards, is way more powerful than using those created by others…or AI?
When you connect with something you know before, like a concept, you solidify that knowledge in your long term memory because our brains love reasonings, stories and experiences. Connecting new knowledge to what you already know aids in learning new subjects faster because it helps to create a stronger framework for understanding. When you relate new information to existing knowledge, you're essentially building on a foundation that already exists in your mind. This can make it easier to grasp new concepts, as you can leverage familiar ideas and mental models to make sense of the new material. Additionally, making connections between new and existing knowledge can help with memory retention, as the associations formed between different pieces of information can strengthen the overall learning process. This approach is often referred to as "building schema" or "making connections," and it is a widely recognized and effective strategy for learning and understanding new subjects. Lastly: challenging yourself in any form works - be it via flashcards, testing yourself by solving practice problems you find in a book, from the teacher, on the Internet or AI. The source doesn't matter although with AI you have more control plus you can generate nearly endless questions and their answers depending upon the prompt.
Former professor here- early on in video you ask Chat GPT to make analogies---BAD IDEA because making an analogy is ONE MAIN way to show that we understand something deeply; in fact you can gauge someone's intelligence by how they create an analogy to explain something to a new person. Why rob our minds of that cognitive load--- it sets a terrible pattern.

This video is good but to be honest it's so counterintuitive to watch a five hour video about studying instead of actually studying for 5 hours
