The way Leah threw Walker under the bus so quickly on “who’s most likely to flub their lines” 😂😂😂 Especially after he said she’s most likely to make them laugh. They’re perfect for Percy and Annabeth
I always see a bunch of people in the comments calling the kids miscast, but guys the show isn't even out yet, let's all just wait and see. Rick chose the actors and called them perfect. And especially if you look more into them, you can see how their personalities matches their characters perfectly ^^ I also get why people may be upset about the different looks, but it's not that hard to see that the actors still fit their role. What are looks if the personality and acting doesn't match at all? Those kids are the actors of our main cast for a reason. So let's support them and look what they have to offer instead of complaining about them. They're great.
I agree, it's much more important to cast actors who can fill the role properly over simply looks, how they look won't make or break the show, so excited to see the product!
@@stefangrigoras5208 This is especially true for an adaptation of a book series which main message was "you can accomplish great things regardless of your background". People who complain about the looks of the actors have clearly not picked up on that message despite claiming to be huge fans of the series.
Hope to see Walker as Kidpool in Deadpool 3, and I also think he would make a great role in a live action Zelda, with Hunter Schafer playing the title character
The best cast ever, can't wait to see the show❤ If you don't like them, you're not a true PJO fan. These actors are so talented, and that's what matters. Not skin color, hair, or height. They're dedicated, that's the important part.
these books have always been about inclusivity. they literally made dyslexia and adhd superpowers. half the characters in the books are poc. why are you surprised they’ve CONTINUED being inclusive?
ikr. Like at least Leah has similar mannerisms to Annabeth. But this dude doesn't fit Percy from the books at all! Percy from the books had bad ass vibe about him, this kid doesn’t fit that description at all.
@@chasechristeson9433oh hall hate just to hate 💀💀 first off percy was a sassy teenager who was badass later down the line . look at the reviews 95% and then say something
@@Anonymous-up7zg if you like it then fine. Those who criticize are mostly those who were fans of the books. Fans that made the book popular enough to have a tv show.
I dont mind them changing characters slightly (skin color, hair color, whatever) and i think Walker seems like a good kid...but he does not at all fit the Percy from the books. Percy is often compared to seeming more like a skater kid with strong mental and physical fortitude. Walker gives off a more "geeky" vibe, like a scrawny gamer kid. Percy in the books gave off an immediate "bad ass" kind of vibe. Leah isnt even the same skin color as Annabeth from the books but at least her mannerism seems like it fits book Annabeth quite well. But, i am hoping the this series is solid and that my mediocre expectations are surpassed .
You have to keep in mind, that the "badass" Percy is the one that develops throughout the series and is described in the final books. When the Lightning Theif takes place, Percy is twelve years old, in middle school. He's supposed to be young and awkward with no friends. I'm sure with time Walker will look more like the Percy we idolize and make fan art of, lmao.
This entire fandom trusts Rick. Just trust him as well. The man created the characters in his damn head, and if this is how he wants them, then it's perfect. He knows what he's doing.
I just reread book 1 and percy doesn’t give off badass vibes he gives off lucky vibes/powerful abilities he doesn’t know how to control yet vibes. Idk when you last read 12 year old percy but it isn’t till he’s around 14 imo that he gives off more confidence in book 1 he seems more arrogant and hotheaded than badass
@@rebeccamethod8193 yeah nah. Walker has bad posture from too many video games. He can't help it... but that's just how it is. Percy in the books was kind of badass from the start. Walker just gives off a very nerdy cringe vibe. I hope i am proved wrong but i just think there were definitely dozens of other kids who auditioned that would have fit the role better
ikr. big yikes. I actually had a feeling it would end up like this since Rick Riordin and Disney teamed up. Disney is notorious recently for being woke, messing up adaptations, and pushing their own agendas. And in the past several years Rick has become just as woke and bad as Disney making like 80% of his characters LGBTQ+ and putting his own agendas into his writing. So, i figured we would get some woke pandering from them.
it’s so funny how y’all call ppl woke yet y’all get mad at shit that doesn’t interfere with your life LMFAO look at the reviews and then come back to me
@chasechristeson9433 if somebody isn't white, straight, and blonde....its woke..right? Get over yourself. Ya'll are so weird for criticizing the very dude that made these characters.
@@katgreer6113it’s wild because percy is now literally white and blonde in this and people still complain like all the white characters have been eliminated or something
It is Disgusting how people hated and hated the original PJ cast so much (the 2010 and 2014 one) This cast looks NOTHING like the books. Have you SEEN THEIR ANNABETH!?!? This is NOT a racial comment but if you want to go by the BOOKS and you are REMAKING this because the first series FAILED the BOOKS. THIS DOES NOT GO BY THE BOOKS and it is DISGUSTING how fans are not batting an eye b/c they are afraid of being called "Racist" Well I am not. This remake looks AWEFUL
Bestie, I'd learn how to spell first before making such bold and incorrect claims. Rick, the author of the books, had a huge hand in the casting process. It's his vision, his world , he knows the world better then you could ever hope to. The reviews are mostly positive, and the trailers look great. If you can't handle Annabeth having a different skintone than the one she had in the books, don't watch the show, nobody want you here anyways.
OH whatever. You're probably fine with Emma Watson being conventionally attractive when Hermione was described in the books as NOT a stand-out beauty. Emma WAS and IS Hermione. It doesn't matter that she didn't have the most bushy, frizzy hair or bucked teeth. Ability to match the character's personality and mannerisms, and the casting director/author's own gut feeling, is what's most imperative.
leah’s “nah i don’t know why you thought you were doing that” was HILARIOUS
4: 18
"It's funny cause I'm like crushing their dreams"
"You're really great at that"
Walker is Percy.
they’re already so perfect as percabeth, i love them

Dude why does Walker already look 5 years older than when they started filming
That is a good question catastrophically.in.denial. He does look way older than in the show.
Kids grow up fast last year Leah was 13 and this year she's 14
He looks a lot more taller than the last time I saw him when they started filming the first two episodes for the lightning thief
@@juanitamorgan5475 I hope that’s how fast I’ll be growing I’m the same age as the actors
Walker's best friend must be so stoked to know that his best friend is playing Percy Jackson himself
Leah’s hairstyle is🔥 🔥 🔥 !!! Btw I’m so excited it’s coming out in 5 days!!!😮😮😮😊
Leah is so funny and so Annabeth
Loved this interview! It felt so relaxed, and the interviewer was really lovely and present
Can we talk about how pretty Annabeths actor is?
Perfect casting
4:45 the amount of sarcasm going on in this trio lmao just like the trio in the books

Rick picked them. I trust in Rick
