I used Sam's bike repairs when he was moored up at Homerton bridge last year. My gears were slipping as I cycled along the tow path when I noticed Sam's boat. He had my gears working as they should in no time. Highly recommended!!
Ms. Jasmine where for art thou? It’s 12-21-2021. Haven seen anything new since late January(?) this year. Nonetheless wishing you a very Merrie Christmas, and a Prosperous 2022, New Year! 🌲🎉
Nice video and interview. I retire in two years and nine months. I've been dreaming of buying a narrow boat. I cycle and have been watching to see how people carry their bikes, what boats lend themselves to a sort of 'garage' that would make loading and unloading a bike an easy task, etc. Nice to see someone actually operating a bike shop from a boat. Alex
we have two folding bikes in out engine bay! sams boat is from holland I think, so looking at dutch boats ive seen simmilar layouts in traditional narrowboats with a butty set up.
What a wonderful way of running a business, thanks for the lovely videos. Living on the water is the best natural life. It's always a joy to watch and see you. (sv esfani)
Hallo Jasmin! Sam has had a brilliant idea, and I really wish him all success! 😊👍 Thanks, again, for your most informative video! All love, and best wishes, Claire, Berlin 😘 😘 ✌ 👍
That's it, I keep looking at a boat. I am on a pension, but would need to do something to make that little bit extra. So it is nice to see what people are doing. we can't all make vlogs about living on the canal.. :) And I am not at a stage to make money off my channel... but I am going to give it a plug any way... happy boating. ruclips.net/user/FiddlingwithmyWhistle
oh you should check out my friends channel "the ukelele teacher" he has a fantastic format for music teaching! do you play fiddle or more into the tech side ?
I play Fiddle and Tin Whistle, ( + piano and bagpipes)... Only been doing it a couple of years, so I am not very good! I started making my animated tab tutorials to help myself to learn the tunes, shareing them on RUclips was an after thought. I have seen a few Ukelele tutorials... but I had not seen your friends before. With 1.1 million Subs and 1600 Patreons. His channel must be a full time job for him.
Jasmin, your interviews of boaty-businesses are always really interesting. By the look of some High Street businesses these days, it's a really smart move to cut costs and combine housing and business together on the canals for an interesting lifestyle.
lots of people message me asking what buis esses are needed I think for lots of people the buisness is a way to live afloat and go where you want rather than because it makes buisness sense
I saw a boat with a coot’s nest just like that on my way in to London. If I see it again I must pay attention and see if it’s the bike shop. Interesting as my bike hub gear started slipping it gears this morning but I think I have fixed it myself but if I haven’t this could be useful.
Ah, yes, I do understand the thing about not having a television :) For me the thing was partly forced by the effects of autism. The more years I go without television at home, the more I am aware of how discordant and chaotic the energy coming from television is
Hi boat build in Holland find type boat in NEW SOUTH WALES WATERS build out wood so the size in meters and what shape is bottom and which canal can travel in

very impressed with this young fellow -- caught my heart when he said he wouldn't move his boat till the birds were gone.
me too!
More boat life characters like this please. I can't get enough of this type of content.
heard!

thanks andy!
I wish him all the best. It's a original idea. With seeing a lot of boaters using bikes, he should do quite well.
I was sold on it being a good idea when i was there he had so much buisness
Nice guy, if I had a bike, I'd take it to him for repair. If I lived over there. :)

Maybe if it suits the buisness for cruisers i think it can be hard to have enough power to run many buisnesses!
+ThisNarrowboatAdventure : Oops, yes, loads of refrigerators and freezers could pose a problem for one or two 12 volt batteries!
lots of people message me asking what buis esses are needed I think for lots of people the buisness is a way to live afloat and go where you want rather than because it makes buisness sense

Great video, interesting to see different businesses to operate to 'stay afloat'...wish the play-back volume was louder generally, but great VLog
ill be sure and up it a little in the next one!
Love it!
That must be a good life.
Seems that way!
Where is the best place to buy a map of the southern canals please as we are thinking of getting a boat

Keep your eyes out for Holly - Café Boat on the canals, or on RUclips.

I find everything on TV is so dramatic its stressful!
Hi boat build in Holland find type boat in NEW SOUTH WALES WATERS build out wood so the size in meters and what shape is bottom and which canal can travel in
there is good information on this on the canalworld forum ... the word for the hull size and diameter is "draft"
Interesting video. To bad the sound quality suck. 😔
thats the first video of a floting workshop but most people are middle class no poor folk
