I personally think 102 was kinda half baked compared to 38. 38's biggest issues are accuracy to the movie and the leg transformation. However, 102 has ALOT more issues. The shoulder articulation really brings it down, the smokestacks are just bad, and the roof of the truck is gray for no reason. And these issues are ALL present even though 90% of the budget went to the torso. And of course, the legs. I personally wouldn't mind the legs if the torso didn't have as many issues as it did.
@tarnishedspark511 My only hope is that 102 is this compromised due to being a target exclusive, maybe in the future we'll get a more wide release that fixes the issues.
Honestly the one takeaway from this video is that I'm not the only one with a Target that sucks at stocking stuff. Kinda validating in a way. Thanks emgo

Second was Earthrise being an almost perfect rendition of g1 Optimus with an absolutely incredible chest/front grill transformation despite having wheels on his back. When I get this figure (if Hasbro makes enough copies of this figure long enough for me to order one) I'll keep this one in robot made and keep my SS38 in vehicle mode pulling the trailer from the DotM deluxe class Movie Trilogy Optimus Prime set (the trailer was oversized for the figure it was included with and is bigger than the Eartrise/Kingdom trailer).

I wonder if they'll use any this engineering for SS86 Prime?
A premium finish version, like with the bumblebee one (SS-02), would be dope! The gray parts look a little too cheap on this one.
"First of all, not our franchise." Looool!!
Shouldn't need kits that often cost more than the figure to fix issues that shouldn't have existed to begin with, the kits should be more just add-ons/bonuses. Or little aesthetic fixes like plugging screwholes.
good job about Studio Series 102 Voyager Class Optimus Prime Action Figure from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 2023
They nailed balance between bot and alt mode on prime back in 09 and managed to fit a matrix chamber.
Now we gotta sacrifice half the alt mode...
