I fully agree. At my school you have to be skinny, blonde, have long hair, a pretty face, blue eyes and look the same to be seen as beautiful. I am skinny (but not as skinny as the other girls), have Caramel hair, glasses, goofy teeth, loads of spots, short hair and I look different. Even if these seem like small things people at my school really picks on people who are a slight bit different.

I’ve been struggling with body image since I can remember., since I was 14 and now I’m 21 .and still not over it..
And I can tell you, I didn’t live my teenage years like my other friends, I hate summer cause I keep covering my body, I hate taking pictures cause I don’t like to see myself that way.. and now I’m in the most exciting years of my life with 0 memories and 0 will to experience it. And actually the lockdown made it even worse, everything got worse; putting on this weight and dealing with anxiety , now I can’t face the world.
And yet, you have to love yourself because no one will do it for you.
I feel the same I have been dealing with all of this since I was 13 and now I’m 17 and it’s getting worse
I'm currently almost 14. When I was 10, everything went downhill ...puberty started and my insecurities all popped out of nowhere. Honestly it sucks. Group photos are a nightmare...I plan social interactions in advance including my outfits so I know I will feel as confident as I can.....I've never been diagnosed professionally but I reckon I have body dysmorphia and some form of unclassified disordered eating so that's great. I had such high expectations of my teenage years and it's so much harder than I ever dreamed it would be. I'm a very quiet person but I'm extroverted so being around people is the way I like to be...but not everyone wants to talk to someone who seems as if they don't want to talk. I'm steadily working on my confidence and I wish you the best of luck with your confidence too

You know why I love this song? It doesn't incessantly tell girls they should believe they're pretty (except for the end DX). If a girl does think she's pretty, it's a pure miracle. Almost all girls are insecure about their appearances. You don't always need to solve that problem. Sometimes, you just need to understand. This song does.
