How I make my DreamSMP animations (+GAOMON S620 Pen Tablet Review)

- Well then, this is literally the first time I've ever made a video where I speak. It's also the first video where I've actually edited a video that wasn't in windows movie maker.
before I started making this video, I had to choose an animation idea to do, and I had so many to choose from. I had one where it was 4/4 sbi, (which I'm planning on working on next lol) and I also had a few edgy ones, but I chose the tommy and ranboo one because I thought it would be the easiest to explain. And I found the audio so funny
I hope that I could answer some of your guy's questions, and I'll try and answer the ones that I missed in the comments. :)

Honestly, for the past 30 minutes all I'm doing is running around to people telling how useful this video was to me. I didn't know you could animate in photoshop, and the fact I can opens a possibility of self expression I stopped considering, just because the thought of learning a new program really unmotivated me. This was so informative and I'm so thankful for you sharing the process. :)
I felt the same way.. It’s hard for me to learn new art programs and right now I use the most easy to figure out programs..

quick question: how do you get proportions right and do character positions, this is a real struggle for me-
For me I just use a lot of references. I try and find a picture thats as close to the pose I'm drawing as I can find, it really helps me with posing and proportions. Also, PRACTICE

May I ask how long it takes for you to animate these?
I usually get really distracted when I make these animations, so it usually takes a distracted week. But this particular video the animation took 3 and a half to 4 hours. because I didn't let myself get distracted lol
They way you draw all the characters and their colors always seems like it’s in a whole different style and feel even though you changed nothing to their outfits considering their mc skins or colors. It just all fits so nicely and feels so smooth. Hope your doing well!
I'm thinking of starting animatics to practice story boarding! And Watching stuff like this really helps me see how it's done and the tools that I may want to get used too

Im so glad you like the animations! :))) In this video I used the GAOMON S620 to make this particular animation. The tablet I usually use is the Huion kamvas GT-191, it may be falling apart, but it still works good :D

@@cheerfuljunior2392 with a little practice you can get used to it tho I still prefer pencil and paper to be able to see exactly where you’re drawing

Wow, you’re all self-taught? Oh my… this is amazing. And it’s such a tedious process for such a small animation… you obviously put a lot of effort into your work. It’s always such a joy to see a new animation from you.
One question (or confusion, rather) that I did have, was when you talked about what you do to animate the frames… it’s most likely because I know nothing about photo shop, but it sounded like you were talking gibberish… 😂 I’ll have to learn more about the programme to understand. Thank you for the explanation though!

Me who uses 2-4 layers to make art and only 1 layer for animation I always think that "oh this doesn't look like it took long but a few days" but when I see that people use like so much layers I just think ".... wow"
