After I shampoo I work in the conditioner and loosen up the back comb with my fingers.

Also, you mentioned the 7 vol gives 2 levels of lift...I was taught 20 vol gives 2 levels of lift. Maybe I should back off my developers! I’m mostly 30 volume! 🥴
