I remember wanting to study with Ned his music was so fresh and French tinged, he introduced me to Bernstein, always a pleasure to hear the playful melodies
So good! I was rehearsing some Rorem (Evidence of Things Not Seen), and I just happened upon your recording on the Barcarolles. Interestingly, he took some of the thematic material from the the Tender movement and used it in one of the quartets in the Evidence of Things Not Seen. Thank you for your excellent playing!
The mjusic and your performance is infectious. Thanks so much for posting. I recently discovered Ned Rorem. And I am looking forward to hearing you perform again Cheers from Chicago
I keep coming back to this performance, Timo! Just fantastic. RIP Rorem.

とても美しい音楽ですね。あなたの素晴らしい演奏のおかげで、Ned Roremをもっと深く知りたいと興味が湧きました。Roremは日本でももっと聴かれるべきですね。ありがとうございます。
Beautiful playing and a beautiful instrument. I'm just sitting here in a trance listening to this.
Delightful. Dream-like. Joyful. French-tones, of an era, matches the Breton shirt.
Wonderful playing. Bravo and thank you for celebrating this lamentably neglected composer!

Wonderful, wonderful playing. Just what I needed today. Your playing made a bad day much easier to deal with, thank you
Beautiful!
absolutely love the piece and its playing.
so good!!
Beautiful performance! I've had the music for decades but have never been able to tackle #3. It's great to hear these wonderful pieces again.
So lovely❤️
Absolutely delightful video. Inspiring to me as a pianist. Just got the barcarolles.
glad to hear it!! Thanks for listening & have fun learning them
Thanks, Timo. That made my day. Exquisite playing!
gorgeous playing and very sweet little pieces

Loverly… matches my current mood… thank you! 😀
Ravel is standing in the doorway, listening.
smoking a cigarette and looking debonair, I'd imagine

Thank you!
First two recall the "Tombeau de Couperin," especially Forlane & Menuet.
great!
Oh my god.. so hautingly beautiful..
Can I know whether you used the pedal for the first piece or not
Wonderful playing. I've always thought that Ned Rorem was underrated. I wonder who built that custom-made piano (forte?) . . .
It's a regular grand. He just removed the fall-board and the music rack. It helps the pianist hear the full range of sound.
Thank you for a very beautiful performance. How can I get the sheet music?
Hi there, it’s available from Peters edition, I think
@@TimoAndres thank you!
