Dr. Manmohan Singh ji was the Kohinoor of our India. We lost this Gem to the Coal in 2014. Now as he said, the history is kind to him than the contemporary media. You have missed his degrees. He had one degree from Cambridge and one from Oxford beside his degree from Punjab university. Another important attribute has been that he never added his Surname( Gotra ) to his name. This was perhaps due to him a true follower of Sikhism as the last Sikh Guru in order to eliminate caste wanted Sikhs to use Singh as the last name for men and Kaur for women. And his wife has not used Gotra to her name.
A University for higher studies should be opened in the name of Dr Manmohan Singh Ji so that future generations can benefit. A university which is in no measure less than the Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Stanford. Could be funded voluntarily by like minded people, organizations, trusts, etc.
Most people can’t comprehend what he did for the poor: Right to Education, loan waivers for the poor farmers and the poor, Healthcare, pensions, mid day meals for children in schools, clean energy ( nuclear deal), Billions in foreign exchange. And the crony capitalists got to keep 51% majority stake in their companies. We still don’t have foreign competition in India !
