Totally agree with your comments on the trends, and I love that you give alternate suggestions to these trends. Just watching this video now and I realized that I’m happy to have avoided spending money on those trendy items
I agree the pedal pushers are unflattering and dated-looking, but the trousers you suggested weren’t a replacement, they weren’t casual for the same occasion situations. Maybe linen pants would have been a better alternative.
Totally agree! I feel like any kind of plastic shoe is a bad idea. I was thinking it would be very easy to make your own brooch or flower applique. You could go to any craft store and get the supplies for any color you want for under $5 😊One time I wanted to make a top for a festival, so I bought silk flowers and attached them to a tank!
I purchased a rosette choker to compensate for the rosette trend, because I thought it was so beautiful and did not want to invest in a top, dress, skirt, or other article of clothing for this trend. It is so cute. All of your suggestions are completely on point and I agree with. The pedal pushers and ballet flats are flashbacks to my junior high high schoo days, and not in a good way. thanks for the clarification and validation!
Excellent video and I love that you show some alternatives too. Those pedal pushers are horrible, can you imagine that they were also sold in white with a lace trimming?! What were people thinking 🙄😖
Totally agree, trends are getting faster and faster and are often non-sensical. Luckily I don't even like any of the mentioned trends. I think they'd look hideous on me and are not my style.
I think I agree on all the trends except for the rose trend only because I wouldn’t wear that as a trend. I would wear that as my signature piece and if I bought a blouse that was particularly interesting in that way, I would want to wear it and I wouldn’t care that people had seen it before because it would be my signature, but I completely agree on thepedal pushes those and the shoes that they’re cute and interesting. Definitely not practical plus the mesh hurts your feet when you’re walking great video as always.
Agree. Would like to hear your thoughts on barrel jeans. I like the trend. Dipped my toe in the trend by purchasing from Old Navy. Stopped myself from buying the ones at Free People because I was not sure how long I could wear before they start looking dated.
They are slightly too barrel legged for my personal taste. Seen them looking amazing on other people. Just not me! But I do like slightly more subtle barrel leg styles x
I'm wearing this one from Tom Ford, but I can't seem to find it online anymore... 😔 www.temptalia.com/product/tom-ford-beauty-lip-lacquer-liquid-patent/no-vacancy/
Vagabond has actually currently a nice mesh-inspired shoe, which I am considering buying.. it is, however, more class- looking (pointy toe/ leather) compared to the ballerinas
I do like the mesh shoe trend, I just think you have to be careful with the quality that you are buying! I've not bought from Vagabond before but I do like their designs.
I have to agree. The bow trend is not for me. Since I am petite, 150cm, I feel like a child wearing them. Also, mesh ballet flats look very unflattering to me.
Hi adeline! Love your blazer in this video, where is it from? I’m petite as well and find it so hard to shop for an “oversized”blazer that doesn’t overwhelm me.

It’s nice to find that I’m not the only one who knows the difference between Capri pants and pedal pushers. They’re not at all the same thing! I wouldn’t wear pedal pushers, but I do like some Capris, on petite me they’re really ankle-length. A wider cut culotte ending just below the knee can be flattering, too, this is a great, classic skirt length. The slimmest part of the leg above the ankle is right below the knee-cap, so this length looks great on most women.
I do like to show off my legs, but I would choose a short skirt, or a pair of shorts, instead of those hideous pedals pushers. I think they look sleazy with bra tops or other skimpy or super-tight tops. A huge yes to silk trousers, no to “satin” (polyester). I can’t wear any plastics, and in poly, they would be miserable on a hot day, they’re no more breathable than garbage bags! Mesh shoes would be ok if they were cotton, but they’re nearly all plastic. I’m with you, I try to buy timeless, high-quality items, and these mesh shoes are just a fad. I also don’t like the many high-vamp shoe styles out there right now, they’re so unflattering, especially in flats. I am so happy that more comfortable footwear styles are finally available, though. My favorite are 2-inch block heels, Sezane’s Paula Babies (Mary Janes) are perfect, the straps are set quite low on the foot, which makes one’s legs look great. I love a bit of extra height, but can’t wear high (3-inch or higher) heels, I never could, they kill my arches.
Totally agree with you on the mesh flats! I don't understand why they are so pricy! By the way, will you consider to do a haul video of you jeans collection?

The lipstick is perfection

Love this video! I agree with your opinions and your alternative options. I think this is a great video to move forward with for each season!
I would love to make this into a series, thank you! 😍
Yes I agree. Not a bow fan myself but to each their own. The mesh ballet flats have grown on me though and can look stylish
I agree! I just think you have to consider the quality, as the inexpensive high street ones will surely fall apart!
Thank you! I agree with you about the pedal pushers. They are not something I will be purchasing.

I love that! I did something similar when I went to a festival too. 🥰

I agree.. a timeless classic style is also where I am at :)
Glad to have you here 🥰
You hit the nail on the head with this video!
Hi Adeline, I definitely agree with you on all of these items. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching 😘
Agree with all!
I'm glad that my RUclips channel has found its people 😉
Excellent video and I love that you show some alternatives too. Those pedal pushers are horrible, can you imagine that they were also sold in white with a lace trimming?! What were people thinking 🙄😖
Wow, what a memory that just gave me! Wild times 😂
we need more of these!!

Agree with all of them.
Oh man, 80s girl here! Rugby shirts were in vogue in the 80s, and my thought is that it needs to stay back there! Lol

Love your lipstick, can you share the brand and shade? Thank you 😊
I agree❤❤❤❤❤

I absolutely agree with you

Yes that's exactly what it is! Being petite and Chinese, I just cant wear bows without looking 5 years old 😂
If you’re over 40 especially stay away from capris. Thanks for the tips!

I have horse riding calves and to top it off, one is more muscled than the other. Safe to say, I´m running far far away from the capri style 💀🐎
Agree

Buy rugby shirts secondhand
Thank you Adeline. 😊 I agree 100%. Also love the alternative choices. Great video.
