It's good way for phone drop on water for protect the hardware from get the short. Turn it off and disassemble what can be remove, and place all part in the rice. If after 2 days it can't be turn on, get the phone fixed, there will be not many components that need to replaced.
Next time when you write something on the packet of the phone, do use a different colour marker, changing handwriting is fine but no ways everyone sent you a packet with message written with same colour marker pen.
