Reviews from people with all kinds of degree of experience are valuable. I guess you could say they meant official Alien VR game. The Mother mod is still a mod. Though there are rumours that A:I will be getting a VR version in '25..
Guys I have heard an errr in the first 5 seconds she says “As an Alien fan” obviously ign is lying because in alien isolation they just said “FUCK ALIENS 5.9!!!”
My God, how narrow-minded and small-spirited can you be?! You can be an Alien fan and still not have to like everything that comes with it. And IGN is not one person but consists of many employees. The person who did this review describes himself as an Alien fan. And is not the same person who tested Alien Isolation back then. What's so difficult to understand about that?!
No indicator of platform!!! We need people that know how to review VR games. The platform should be among the very first things posted- rare, but embarrassing miss for IGN.
I'm surprised that this game got made considering Hendricks & Davis were characters from the Dark Horse comics run & now Marvel has rights. Wonder if it was a legal hassle ?
The negative she describes are positives it’s weird. You’re supposed to feel insane and nerve wrecking in VR and it’s supposed to make you emotionally exhausted bout time you take of the headset. ITS AN ALIEN GAME!!!!!
When the reviewer said something like “you have to turn with the thumb stick instead of your head” I hope that doesn’t mean this is a “couch potatoes” only game, meaning it’s only meant to be played stated or standing still facing one direction.
@ I don’t trust the store listings for play modes until I’ve actually tried the game. Nearly all Quest games list standing and roomscale mode yet most have little glitches like menus and loading screens that pop up in random locations because the developers never tested with natural turning. A few are either completely broken or have areas that are broken if you turn with your feet. It’s frustrating.
@@jioxxvr There is a video on YT showing up a guy from avpgalaxy playing it. He was standing and moving a little bit. But I doubt that they would allow total freedom as it would lead to accidents. That is why prefer joystick turns for in-game body. Not to mention the game is not exclusive to Quest 3 only. Thus it will be played with cabled headsets as well.
@@kordelas2514 most PCVR players use wireless headsets, it’s not just standalone Quest players. To reduce immersion for everyone else just because PSVR2 is tethered makes no sense. It should be developed and tested for seated, standing, and roomscale play. That way it would make the most of all headsets and accommodate everyone’s style of play. As far as accidents go, as long as you have the guardian set up properly you’re safer from accidents with a wireless headset than you are with a tethered one. No cords to trip over. 😁

Looks good but I think it needs less weapons and more hiding LOL. Hopefully we will see what happened to Amanda and find her as the new character.
Is that an animated reload in a vr game. I really was hoping they wouldn't be lazy
From what it looks like, there's a bit of shakiness in the camera when it was being reloaded, so maybe you still do the reload yourself, but it's got an animation added on top to polish it, like how half life alyx does the reloads.
No, you have to do it mechanically every time.
Im here early, just waiting for all the incessant bitching from flat gamers because another big IP is a VR game. Lol
Alien Isolation 2 was just announced. They'll be alright. lol
Terrible choice for a reviewer once again IGN top work
I need this alien game in my life!!
And now make a VR Game, where I must got in the Shower room and Pennywise is there, waiting for me.
Wish more games would atleast have a demo. Just to wet the whistle while we wait
Should have been like walking dead saints and sinners not anchored to one stale character model but given a proper character design option saints and sinners nailed it with only a few choices. I want Aliens VR but I don’t want an anchored character design.
I really doubt you'll be able to see yourself at any point, just your hands.
He doesn’t want to be a lady
I hope this game is going to have bosses in it 🙏
SO how many time have you use that one scenes where the xeno is falling through the ceiling...five times ...or six ?
I wish they had a version which doesn’t require vr
Vr is the future. It's revolutionary.
Alien and IGN... difficult relationship....
Alien in VR finally? This is why noone takes you seriously IGN. You could play Isolation in VR. Now if you're tagline had been 'Aliens' in VR finally, that makes sense. It's the little things, it really is
I guess you could say they meant official Alien VR game.
The Mother mod is still a mod.
Though there are rumours that A:I will be getting a VR version in '25..
IGN better not give this a higher rating than their 5.9 Alien Isolation.
Anything has to be better than that stinky landfill wildfire that was the Romulus movie
game looks amazing but please make it harder like nightmare mode not soft skinned ign intern mode
I hope has teleport movement
It does not. Only customizable snap turning and dynamic vignette options.
Nice! 😀
I hope it's good, and not trash like IGN.
I wonder if you can play co-op?
No indicator of platform!!! We need people that know how to review VR games. The platform should be among the very first things posted- rare, but embarrassing miss for IGN.
Its every VR platform: Quest 3 (exclusive), PSVR2, PCVR.
2024 is the VR year
I'm surprised that this game got made considering Hendricks & Davis were characters from the Dark Horse comics run & now Marvel has rights.
It can be played in sitting, standing and roomscale mode.
i believe they just mean controller orientation based movement
is this gonna be on oculus still or not?
I have a fish that can breakdance! Only for 20 seconds though, and only once.
gonna be real. This feels like an arcade shooter with an alien isolation skin.
This feels like Aliens 1986 movie.
"GAME OVER, MAN!"
