福野夜高祭2015 Fukuno Yotaka Festival

富山県の福野では毎年5月1日･2日に、絢爛なあんどんが夜空に映える「福野夜高祭」が開かれます。
色鮮やかな大あんどんが大勢の見物客を魅了し、二日深夜には、あんどんを壊し合う「引き合い」が行われます。
神明社の神様は女性で、あんどんが壊れれば壊れるほど喜ぶといわれており、約5〜6mの高さで、あんどんを直接手や足で蹴り、破き、引きちぎり壊す、激しい空中戦となります。
The FUKUNO Yotaka festival, history of 350 years, was held on May 1 and 2nd in Toyama, Japan. On May 2nd midnight, when Parade floats meet each other in a narrow alley, they are permitted to jump on other floats and rip them to shreds. This event is the largest spectacle of the festival.
