I remember this game, somewhat. I only tried it for a few minutes while I was browsing all MMORPGs available. Looking at it now, it seems a lot like FlyFF. Free to play, premium shop features. Inevitably, the premium shop which doesn't directly allow you to buy power ends up as part of an in-game economy in which it does get traded for power, making the game pay-to-win. Kind of a shame, because the games weren't intended to be that way, but ultimately players that are really good will just trade items and services they can provide for other peoples' money.
@@siahzplayz that's just incorrect to be honest. Without the cash shop, this game would not exist any more today. You can't expect a company to keep paying to maintain and update the game, while also making $0 in revenue. Without the cash shop, the game literally doesn't exist for free players, and considering the age of the game, you wouldn't ever get people to buy it for $40-60 as a one time purchase, and it's not new enough or polished enough for people to pay a sub fee for it. Even if they did, it wouldn't be a F2P game at all then. The term, I believe, is "a necessary evil".
@@siahzplayz long time Fiesta player here. It's definitely not the best MMO ever, but it IS by far my favorite. It has such a unique setting, wonderful dedicated community... The only thing holding it back is the graphics are still a bit dated, the economy needs a reset (obviously, it's an 18 year old game), and there's not enough new players due to a lack of information about the game. The only server that's still popping off is Isya, but my God this game really is amazing and I wish more people gave it a chance. Yes yes yes, cash shop bad etc etc, but what MODERN games don't have a cash shop? Let's be real 😂
@@118042 This will always have a special place in my heart. I love this game and come back to it from time to time. Hopefully things will change positively for it someday.

A lot of games would have a longer lifespan and be more enjoyable if they would only refrain from these practices that you mentioned. Such a shame.
