Where did you get your replacement side mirror. I’m in the same boat.
@@3cinco990I got a used one from eBay for a little under $500.
I tried removing the side mirror today and it was VERY VERY stiff. I read on the Palisade forum to not be afraid of breaking the glass and firmly pull the mirror off. The mirror is snapped on, no screws. I broke the glass mirror and now I have both the original broken lamp assembly AND a broken mirror!
Sorry to hear that but u should warm up the glass well than remove it like what I said from beginning and I don’t know which exactly lamp are u talking about but to tear down the mirror need to get glass off and unscrew many things hold by mirror base that’s what I usually do for 8 years but I only broke one time on genesis but after someone teaches me to warm up the glass first I never get any issues with it

Does anything need to be reset after replacing the mirror? I replaced and now neither side is operable from the door control and one I replaced is constantly asjusting
As I knew it no need to reset if everything back together in right way
I work closely with Kia and Hyundai in Korea and I did check with them about it and they said no need any reset but maybe car from different locations has different set up
Also I recommend one time discount the car battery wait for one minute and conect it again and start the engine it should solve the problem

Need to detach the mirror
First warm up the mirror glass with hairdryer and start to pull the glass from the bottom with plastic trim remover
After get it off u will sew many black screws behind remove all and separate mirror parts from each other until get to the light u are looking for
Can you do a video or tell me how to replace the passenger side turn signal outside mirror lamp? OEM Part # 87624-S8000. I have been searching for 2 months and there is no such video on youtube.
