So basically live a good life, be kind, and thank the higher power for it all?? I was content with Christianity but can't stand these Christians (age old argument). I'm just a lost Hebrew now...
Darryn McDade Jr the argument is that the truth is the truth wether you believe it in or not. The answer on if there is or is not a god is both a believe for or against god, however if you see it in two separate paths when you die 1) is you believe in god and he is real -you are saved- (or) you believe in god and he is not real in which case nothing happens 2) you don’t believe in god and he is real -you are dammed- (or) you don’t believe in god and nothing happens. The religious answer is the closest to truth because it takes the risk in answering and if it turns out to be wrong for whatever reason then... nothing happens.
Anyone for whom Christianity is a live option just doesn't know enough, or is just too credulous. They should learn more about the Hebrew Bible and the real history of the ancient Israelites. And the history of the early Church. And learn some comparative religion. And read Feuerbach and Nietzche.
That's your subjective opinion not based in objectivity. I rejected religion as a child. I have read the philosophers. Nietzsche had no concept of altruism, all power play with no ' love '......... Have a great day and God bless you and your family 🙏

Lucas R-W You need to be not reasonable to have faith in a god.
Basically, if religion works for you and it makes you strive to do good things, then there's nothing immoral in believing in your religion.
