OCSG Meet - Buckler's Hard - The Beaulieu River & Isle of Wight (720p)

The Open Canoe Sailing Group returns to Buckler's Hard for the 2013 attempt to sail across to the Isle of Wight. Again success was achieved and this year Cowes was the destination reached. Conditions were once again challenging at times, but the trip passed without incident and a great day out was had by all.
A special thanks goes to Gavin who organized this meet and the staff of Buckler's Hard, who made this trip possible. Their friendly and helpful manner makes this one of the best meets in the OCSG calendar.
Buckler's Hard is also a very interesting place to visit with its maritime museum and its history of building Britain's tall ships that made Britain the super power it once was.
Obviously, because of the challenging location, it has always been classed as a Level 3 meet, and rightly so. It is definitely not for the inexperienced sailor or the faint hearted, but in my opinion, it should be for all inexperienced sailors to aspire to. Roll on 2014 and hopefully a return visit.
