Pc users: "oh no, it's running at 75°c I need to close down some programs and let it idle to cool it off a bit" Laptop users: "I bought the laptop, I'm gonna use the whole laptop"
lmao this happened to yesterday Found an osu crash map, it indeed made osu crash. Had 37597 objects and the star rating was 3758*. the guy who made this probably put a hundred notes on each individual tick and copy and pasted it. That made my gpu go up to 70°C and i was like "calm down"
PC users: "oh no, it's running at 75°C, I need to get a better cooler." If you get bad CPU temps at max load something just isn't built right. Either the case has bad airflow, is standing in an airflow restricted space or the cooler isn't up to par. Prebuilts commonly have both terrible cases and an inadequate cooler. For DIY builds, if you have to close programs to cool your PC off you probably did something very wrong.
I got a similar model, hes got an msi 30 series laptop. For the most part its silent, but if u hit fn + up arrow you can manually blast the fans as soon as the keyboard lights up.
My laptop used to get to 95° C everytime I run something remotely heavy. So I opened up my laptop and checked the vents, there was piles of dust in it lmao. Lesson: clean your vents, my temps don't even go above 80 now with fairly quiet fans.
My friend: "Is there a plane taking off in our driveway?" Me 5 houses away: "No just starting up my new gaming laptop, it says it's only at 104 degrees celcius"
You should've hit the power button and it immediately boots up the game you want to play but your laptop starts levitating from the force of the air from the 3090
When I power my workstation from cold & dark I automatically feel the urge to do a cabin announcement while Fans 1&2 spool up. I’ve actually used this „feature“ to record Sound-FX for a jet.
As someone with an RTX 4090, I can definitely say this doesn’t not happen, when I run my laptop it has the little legion startup thing whatever no air comes out, going to the log in page little air, running every game on the laptop, jet engine
The exact opposite actually... I went from a 2060 to a 3090fe and after testing it out in a few games I was absolutely shocked at how I could only slightly hear the fan under extreme loads vs the 2060 that would sound like a jet engine while at medium settings.
Pc users: "oh no it's 65.1°C I need a new cooling system!" Laptop users: "only 115°C that's good" Also pc: *measures octaves of fans* "it's 15!!!" Laptop: "7896957 wow that's quiet"

@@hobbypyromane2.05 its a combo of Optimus limiting it's true preofrmance, liquid metal, amd cpu, and thicker chassis that helps keep the strix cool. Definitely a good laptop but Optimus is a deal breaker for me
@@ChippyIVI yeah I get where you’re coming from but you could hook up a external monitor to disable optimus, if you need that FPS bump in a few years. Obviously blowing a couple hundred bucks on a external monitor after paying over 2000€ isn’t normally an acceptable option. I just needed a powerful laptop that could perform good in a professional environment while giving great performance in gaming sessions at night. With the whole Lockdown situation at that time I also needed a laptop as quickly as possible. At the time of my purchase it was the only laptop that actually had the latest hardware and it was priced like the ones with rtx 2070 etc. so it’s not like I’ve had a choice. Crazy times we live in. I used pcpartpicker to spec out a equally performing desktop and it came in at over double the price. This one’s for the guys telling me to get a cheap laptop and a gaming laptop as it’s “just better”.😂
@@hobbypyromane2.05 Yeah it's one of the best performance for the money if you have any external monitor, even without one it's still a pretty good deal. But sadly I can't fit both a external monitor and the laptop in my budget. Oh woah, so this must be the feeling of real joy only gamers like me could feel. Im getting my first gaming laptop, an Rtx 3060 asus tuf f15 next week and i couldnt wait, after years of playing on a office laptop i was using for 6 years where i can only play minecraft, pvz and microsoft games... i cant explain my happiness and excitement 😊
nice job dude! i felt the same way when i got this pc. i had been playing on a 8 yr old desktop, that ran minecraft at 50 fps XD
Good for you bro. I have the A15 from previous year. They work quite well from my experiences.
Wholesome
Not exactly. The 3060 is only slightly better by 9% than a 2070 max q. Which is pretty down scaled from the regular 2070

Found an osu crash map, it indeed made osu crash. Had 37597 objects and the star rating was 3758*. the guy who made this probably put a hundred notes on each individual tick and copy and pasted it.
That made my gpu go up to 70°C and i was like "calm down"
PC users: "oh no, it's running at 75°C, I need to get a better cooler."
If you get bad CPU temps at max load something just isn't built right. Either the case has bad airflow, is standing in an airflow restricted space or the cooler isn't up to par.
Prebuilts commonly have both terrible cases and an inadequate cooler. For DIY builds, if you have to close programs to cool your PC off you probably did something very wrong.

Lesson: clean your vents, my temps don't even go above 80 now with fairly quiet fans.

As a person with that exact same laptop, and a 3090 FTW3 in my main rig, I can say this is accurate.
One day we're gonna cry and reminisce about the good old days when our laptops sounded like a jet engine and felt like one too. :'D
True
i feel this considering i used to get burns from my laptop trying to run a flash game lmfao
where are the oven mitts.. i need to transport my laptop

*large explosion*
everyone can play dying at max graphics if they have minimum graphic card
😂😂
I thought he was gonna flex his power up time but no. This is pure gold
Plot twist he enjoys the fan sound so they’re always on max
You should've hit the power button and it immediately boots up the game you want to play but your laptop starts levitating from the force of the air from the 3090
lmfao i got an rtx graphix card ad in the beggining of this vid
But this is a short…
When I power my workstation from cold & dark I automatically feel the urge to do a cabin announcement while Fans 1&2 spool up. I’ve actually used this „feature“ to record Sound-FX for a jet.
thats sounds awesome 😂

-Sound like jet
-When playing flight simulator and using jet prefectly
Don't have a 3090 but my pc sounds exactly like that
As someone with an RTX 4090, I can definitely say this doesn’t not happen, when I run my laptop it has the little legion startup thing whatever no air comes out, going to the log in page little air, running every game on the laptop, jet engine

My laptop is usually very silent but when I keep playing over 30 mins it's starts to Blast off in Space 🌌🚀
The exact opposite actually... I went from a 2060 to a 3090fe and after testing it out in a few games I was absolutely shocked at how I could only slightly hear the fan under extreme loads vs the 2060 that would sound like a jet engine while at medium settings.
Ikr I went from a gtx 1080fe to a gigabyte oc 3090 and the 1080 hit 110C so it was always 100% fanspeed damn the 3090 is quiet lol

why gaming laptops gotta sound like a jet engine?
Idk but I guess it's to give +1 fps
Mine doesnt. Asus strix g17 with rtx3070 and amd 9 5900h
Gaming without a headset (using the laptop speakers) is totally fine. Might have to do something with the factory liquid metal? Anyway, never seen thermal throttling while gaming, haven’t tested with any stress tests
That laptop isn’t even bulky
I really wish Asus would have made an option that's a bit more expensive that has either just no Optimus at all of a MUX switch.
