Head Office officials bask
in worship during a revival
prayer service.
Directorate Spiritual Care held an uplifting prayer service for Head Office officials on 28 March 2023 at Kgoši Mampuru II Management Area.
Spiritual Care Directorate has broaden
its services that should be rendered to correctional officials, through providing a holistic approach beyond the
boundaries of the work that officials do.
Stakeholders and interfaith groups from various institutions who partnered with the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) were invited to render various spiritual services to
officials.
Interfaith and intercessory prayers on Gender- Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF), the safety of officials and the DCS leadership formed an integral part of the programme.
Colonel Reverend Masello Mothopeng from the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) spoke on the relations which are deliberated by the Security Service Christian Advisory Board formed by DCS, SANDF and the South African Police Service (SAPS) which seek to enhance the spiritual care of officials as well as offenders.
Officials from Head Office came out of the service revived and ready to turn a new leaf in terms of a conducive working environment they want to create for themselves.
