In my entire years of pharmacy I haven't met uncertainty. Then suddenly I got into a master and doing science and it's suddenly different, a paper is not truth anymore...

This is so important! There is so much negativity surrounding PhDs and everything online, and man, this is amazing to hear!

I have been watching your videos for awhile now. I am going to be starting my PhD in molecular, cellular, biochemical pharmacology on July 1st. Your videos have helped me with so much and I really appreciate it.

LOL loved you noticing the mic and correcting it. A few seconds in, I was like "Does his mic always show and I just never noticed?" 😄

„Steaming pile of ..“ 😂 Having uploaded the final revision of my Masters thesis just over a week ago I would agree with this…

Hey! Thanks for the video. I'm currently deciding whether I want to seek a Masters or not but I already know the slippery slope you talked about is so real ugh it all scares me and lures me at the same time

Hi, Andy! Thanks for your inspiring and useful videos. Been in my PhD for about 10 months and everything is going on well. Thanks to the advice I get from each of your videos, I have a more or less smooth PhD so far with an amazing supervisor.
Could you also make a vidoe on how PhD students can find collaborators to write peer-reviewed research paper? It would be really helpful for most of us:)

Funny hearing this as a philosophy student. Because there, undergraduate instructors are really keen on talking about uncertainty and teaching people how to deal with it. 😅

Figuring out what you really want to do - sure, it's important to give it some thought but I don't think it's a good idea to obsess too much over it. Because at least if you're somebody who is interested in a wide range of things, goals will change.
I started out on the path of becoming a programmer (and/or manager) but studied digital media and became an artist instead. Then became a software developer. And now I'm studying philosophy.
Admittedly, philosophy is just for fun but... IF AI will actually create whole apps for us in a few years, it could actually become something to fall back on. I sure never thought that I'd return to programming.
Oh and... despite what one-dimensional people think, knowledge of each field has been beneficial for some of the work in the other fields.

    #Question
    Are there supervisor licensing courses?
Where I studied my PhD (Karolinska Institute) that thing do exist!
    What is your experience?

A few relatives of my girlfriend worked at KI. They said there's quite a lot of nepotism going on there. What was your experience like?
